Camera House - Newcastle

DO NOT get your passport photos taken here! We literally gave them a list of all the requirements needed for a European passport photo, they read it and said yes they would do all that. After a three hour drive to the consulate in Sydney, we were not issued our passports because the background on the photos was grey and it needed to be white, which is stated explicitly in the requirements. Luckily there was a store nearby where we got our photos retaken, but if we had not been so lucky, we would have wasted our appointment on a waiting list spanning years AND have driven nearly six hours to Sydney for nothing!

Came for a Hong Kong passport photo, the requirement for the passport photo was incredibly high and specific. The staff is so helpful and have so much patience with me. Appreciate it so much! Definitely recommend!

Very very bad product delivery. Not yet received the item within the expected time of delivery. For your information I already tried to contact you. But I couldn't contact you through call as well as through your website. It shows Service is temporarily not working.

The staff here are extremely knowledgeable with the whole range, we bought a lot of things here and have been more than happy to return anytime.

Friendly and professional staff.
After having some issues with some of my equipment the staff quickly found me a solution and kept me in the loop untill it was fixed.
They also have a huge range of gear. And highly experienced staff with a wealth of knowledge.

Website is a bit awful for what's in stock, or do they even carry something. But the people are helpful enough

Any drone camera or accessories to do with photography or veiwing these guys have. Even rolls of film.

Absolutely incredible service. From the day I bought my Sony A7Riii and 70-300mm FE lens including my accessories.

Not to mention my original purchase I took it all back and returned it then chose the Sony set up.

From every little question was answered with exception detail and patience.

Blake and the team are definitely knowledgeable and competitive.

Great advice on cameras and even better prices, comparable prices to most "cheaper online stores" with no wait time for postage

We shopped here whilst on holidays in 2019. I was so very impressed by Dustin, the guy who served us. He was cheery, knowledgeable and respectful. He listened to exactly what I needed and pointed me in the direction of the cameras I could use. Thank you Dustin and the Newcastle Camera House.

Great services！ had passport taken for families however had trouble with the formate and size issues. Staff had been extremely nice to change the photo for us, reorient and really supportive services, 100 times better than post office

They don't sell body worn cameras.
The customer service rep doesn't know where to buy them.
Is this why brick and mortar shops are failing?

Blake at Camera House Newcastle restored our precious old photos beyond our greatest expectations! From the time that we gave in our photos, Blake took outstanding initiative to keep us informed on their progress regularly. We can only imagine the enormous attention to detail and skill that was involved to restore photos from the 1990s to the beautiful result that we hold today. They say price match policy on the website but actually don't want to do it in store. Waste of time.

I was at this business yesterday. This large shop has a wide range of products. I sought a new pair of binoculars, and had phoned first. The sales guy remembered my query, and went straight to the set I ended up buying. What a pleasure it was to discuss options with an experienced hand.

Top products: well informed staff. Personally, with this sort of service, I wouldn't buy on line. Well done Camera House Kotara!

Poor attitude from the young guy when he said "I am pretty sure this is the tripod you need". I said it wasn't and said "You must know exactly not be pretty sure ". He got defensive then. Needs training in customer service.

Highly recommend this store.best prices around and knowledgeable non pushy staff, fantastic new store in kotara too, huge and lots of stock.
