Excellent experience hiring a Canon 100-400mm USM II lens. Staff were helpful and friendly, gear was in good condition and arrived promptly.

This is a very unprofessional camera rental place the people are very rude and I requested call back from owner in the new year to report my bad experience nothing happen. They took time in refunding my deposit and talk bad too my client, business partner about me behind my back first then came up with some different story saying they got rob. I try to do everything in my power to give them a opportunity to fix it as it was a special wedding shoot and they failed to provided the service they was meant to offer on the special day for my client.

Never use this company to rent a product they want $1000 security deposit or hold your passport and all this information before they even rent out any gear its not professional or suitable you can buy new items for cheaper prices then what they have available to rent.

I personally think it was because my client was African and they thought we were going to take there items. When I have a international client tell.

They need new stuff and management to provide better customer service and better understanding of how they rent out there products.

Definitely one of the best rental houses if not THE best in the game. The team is a creative team of filmmakers who understand the needs of creatives and are always there to help.

Been going here almost weekly to hire gear for work. Service used to be ok, now all the staff are arrogant and extremely unhelpful. I'm often left standing around trying to get someone's attention while they walk around aimlessly or sit on the computer. They're also extremely slow to respond to emails which has led to some stressful situations as I'm often on a deadline. There's a guy there on Saturdays who is very rude, tall guy usually wearing a cap. Gonna try to take my business elsewhere as much as possible.

I've been using CameraHire since it was previously called auphotographer (& in Manly). From the beginning they were great, but Manly was too far for me to travel.

Since they opened up Alexandria, I've been consistently using them for rentals on our productions. They're extremely helpful and I cannot recommend them enough. If you're looking for a professional solution to your production needs, definitely get onto them!

Hire from Camera Hire for many years now and always had a somewhat normal customer experience, I pay for a hire and the product is always well kept. BUT the last 3 times I have attempted to hire from this company the incompetence of staff of either not properly filling out an order properly or just failing altogether to even process and hire when made over the phone is worrying. Once again I was a returning customer NOW Ill take my business to the front. And normally I do often recommend camerhire to people because they are priced a little more reasonably bit I'm happy to pay the extra money and go to the Front for an overall better customer experience. Also the staff at the front don't have the same air of pretentiousness or don't look like they hate their job. Hire more competent staff BUT you have lived at my business. See you never

Camera Hire has been one of the best places to go to for rental equipment. Firstly they have great, educated staff who are happy to consult what is the best and efficient ways of using their equipment. They have even helped me out by delivering things I forgot at the drop of a hat.

I can not speak highly enough of Camera Hire. I dealt with Richard who was incredibly helpful and went far and beyond to offer all information and equipment I needed. Price was very reasonable, the equipment arrived in perfect condition ready to go, and the whole transaction was smooth sailing. Highly recommend!

Great equipment; friendly staff.

I hired a Nikon 24-70 VR lens for an overseas trip, but for some reason was not impressed with the results. Reading up, I realised this particular lens had a few issues with the NIKON D850 and was of no fault of the lens I hired. I spoke to the staff and took the lens back the next day. The owner was very friendly and changed my contract to a day contract and processed my refund immediately.

Rented a lens at short notice, it turned up in the mail on time and the whole experience was seamless and simple. Will definitely use again.
