I won't go into detail, but my experience with CameraFix has been less than satisfactory. The camera was not fixed.

Being a sentimental man, my grandfathers Hasselblad 500C/M was in poor condition over the years and I was able to trust CameraFix to restore it back to its former glory! The attentiveness, expertise and communication is truly unmatched. Will be back!

Brought in a Leica m6 with significant corrosion and a destroyed light meter - had no hope the light meter would ever work again.
Other camera experts told me there were no parts, it was rusted beyond repair.

These guys manufactured a light meter from scratch - a repair no one has ever done and no one has ever suggested - and scrubbed out the rust, slow shutter speed issues and other kinks.

The light meter is accurate to sunny 16 even when shooting through a dark ND filter, on a lens known to impact meter readings. It’s a feat and a joy to see those little red indicators in my viewfinder again.

Have used various camera repairers in Sydney over the years and they are an odd collection to be honest and I have been disappointed many times but Camera Fix at Ultimo have been fantastic. Sent my old Tamron Adaptall 2 lens for repair here, and although I declined the quote, when I came to pick it up I found I already cleaned! Turns out as part of the quote process the lens is completely disassembled anyway, and I’m guessing the folks here decided to give it a clean regardless. Impeccable customer support also so I really can’t complain.

Highly recommended! I've been to several camera repair places and I was honestly blown away with their service. At first, when I saw how decked out their office was I was afraid the rates were going to shoot through the roof. They are reasonable with their pricing, received a quote within the same day and my lens was ready to pick up within the week. The staff there was super helpful and accommodating and even ran downstairs to hand me my lens so I didn't have to find parking. Best experience I've had and would definitely come back or recommend to my friends.

I have to say that the guys at this shop are amazing! I went in there all stressed out in the middle of wedding season to get my Sony A7iii fixed urgently, as I had another wedding in 2 days time. Alex, the head tech there jumped straight onto it, and had the camera fixed and ready to go the very next day! He also serviced one of my Nikon lenses that's playing up. A one stop shop! He was extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable. Don't bother sending your Sony to Adelaide for repairs though Sony Prof Services, go to these guys. Also Ally, the Camera Specialist that handles all communications was bang on point also, terrific service. 5 star rating for sure!

Brought my NIKON D7000 in last week, desperately needing the Auto-Focus + Flash fixed ASAP as I was going away on holidays, Alex the technician was wonderful and went out of his way to make sure my camera was ready in time. Also on the plus side, they ended up quoting me $280 less than NIKON themselves!

My favourite camera is a Pansonic Lumix GM1, the smallest interchangeable lens camera ever made. It has always been a fragile camera, and is now almost 10 years old, so there was a long list of problems, and I expected issues with spare parts availability.

For that reason the repair took a few weeks, but the camera I got back looks like new and works like new. At every stage of the process, Mike Belkin kept me informed on progress. The final cost was close to the estimate I received when Camera Fix inspected the unit.

I'm really thrilled with the outcome, because the camera went out of production years ago, as did its replacement, and used ones are like hens' teeth on ebay.

I had a rare and unusual professional telephoto lens with fungus inside. They were the only place that would give an obligation free quote. Service was always friendly and positive. The lens was cleaned for a fair price and when there was an apparent problem afterwards (turned out to be just dirty electrical contacts) they handled that professionally too.

Camera Fix were excellent in helping me with my broken Sony RX100. They were very helpful and professional, provided a competitive and reasonable quote in short turnaround and gave me other related advice on photography options for the future. I would definitely use them again.on

I recently sent Mike two cameras from opposite ends of the spectrum - a Lumix GM5 with a misbehaving thumbwheel, and a 40-year old Super8 camera with a malfunctioning power zoom lens. Both were quickly assessed, quoted at very reasonable rates (this is fiddly work!) and repaired within a couple of weeks despite being over the Christmas break. The total bill was as-quoted and the cameras were VERY WELL PACKED for return shipping. Overall I'm extremely happy with Mike's service and definitely recommend. Capable camera repairers are hard to find these days, so it's reassuring to know we have someone in Australia who can help keep our old cameras functioning into the future!
