Camelot Lounge reviews
74Just the sort of music I need. Please increase dance floor space. Great people. No attitude and welcoming
First time I've come here and there's a lot to like about the place. It's not a flash venue but the vibe is very friendly and great to have places still offering live music several nights a week. Would definitely return.
The staff at the Camelot lounge were wonderful, pizza's were amazing and grog was reasonably priced. The band on the night, Glam, Bam Thankyou Ma'am were amazing.
This place is a grungy bar with such a brilliant atmosphere! Food is really good.
Just need to provide a dance area as we all dance around the bar.
Love it!
Excellent smaller venue for a more intimate experience. Draught & canned beer, spirits, wine & pizza available. Plenty of tables & seating.
The pizza and the attention was incredible. Also the atmosphere and decoration and the music always is amazing.
Brilliant small venue with lots of character, drink and food prices very reasonable, great entertainment, would highly recommend
Watched The Gadfly's recently at the Camelot Lounge. Such an awesome place to sit and enjoy both live acts while eating some of the wonderful on offer warning: rather than watching the live acts, your eyes may stray to one of hundreds of Camels dotted around the interior (hence the name). The eclectic decor, great service, great food and (hopefully) good music amounts to a sensory overload. But that's a good thing.
Love the Camelot & Django Bar! Good venues if you are after great live music and is into alternative culture.
Lola Lovina live at Camelot. Go see them when there next there it’s a party with great drinks and food on Marrickville
5 stars for atmosphere and music and concept. Here's to small and cosy live music venues serving Sydney!
5 stars for staff being friendly helpful and approachable.
3 stars for decor (that opp shop reclaimed/vintage vibe) does the job.
3 stars for drinks. They cover the basics.
1 star for the effort /creativity put into food. (grilling some kind of cheese on pita bread served on a paper plate and actually charging for it as if were pizza is 'next level' squat dive cuisine even for the inner west). By that I mean it isn't at all appetising. And the charcuterie board is modest.
How about buying some frozen Dr Oetker Pizzas, and serving them on plates? Make some Gnocchi and add pesto and sprinkle cheese in it? There are lots of easy options without needing a whole commercial kitchen setup.
Mostly they do tribute shows here, but I saw Lloyd Spiegel, the sound was great, the show was great and there was, as always, a high concentration of that middle aged Inner West male staple - the long sleeved patterned shirt.
Our first visit here. Great night at Django Bar tonight to see the Kites playing Steely Dan - absolutely fantastic. Looked like full house with everyone finding a seat. We had a pizza and a Chaka Carnivore grazing plate - both very good and enough for two. Efficient service. Excellent venue for getting up close to the musicians. Bravo to all!
Cracking venue! Quirky and full of atmosphere! Great food and quick efficient bar service. What a great place for live music.
Awesome live music joint in Sydney, very local and casual, place to go for an easy going night out
After 2 yrs of Covid, the lounge is back and we love the vibe and music!
Have enjoyed lots of gigs there in past. Good drinks and food too. However, comms left a lot to be desired. I was seeking a refund/credit for a show that was postponed to 9 December from early November. Emails to website address came back as undeliverable, messenger dm unanswered, phone tells me to use email. I left a harsh review to get some action. It did and owner asked me to amend review. If the comms are fixed I'm happy to do that, as it a great venue with quality acts.
It's so good to hear live music delivered with passion. The Pigs were awesome, as always, venue awesome. Truly a talented group and a fun night out. Good food, drinks reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Great venue, easy to get to and fantastic service. Music is amazing and a great place to discover new bands.
Absolutely Fabulous! Catering for ages from about late thirties to 60s +. Great cabaret Style decor. Reasonably priced drinks with snacks like pizza and dips. A great place to go for older range of people that has been missing in Sydney v over 15 years
Watched the Motown show on a Saturday night. Fantastic time. Finally able to dance with covid restrictions lifted. Great time had. Beers, pizza and platter for 2 "shaka carnivore" was tasty as. Staff are super nice and hard working also. We will come back for more shows 100%. I love that it's only an hour. Close to the sydenham station is mega convenient.
