Caltex Woolworths / Ampol Marsfield reviews
19Bit dear but positive point is that you can shop in woolworth without wasting time. Also if you have Woolworth's reward card can avail 4 cents rebate per liter of fuel.overall OK when you dont have spare time on your hand
Good service. But can you move the 98 petrol to the most end? So when I wait for a vacant 98 space, I don’t need to wait at the very beginning and blocked other drivers who just need 95 petrol, It makes me feel stressful when other drivers beep and knock my window, cause they don’t know you only have 98 at the very beginning of the entry
This station seems to always have the cheapest petrol in the area. Like always 10-15c cheaper that anywhere north of here.
This Caltex Petrol Station is located on the corner of Balaclava Road and Epping Road. The petrol is usually competitively priced for the area. There's a Woolworths Supermarket adjacent to it, so you can also do some grocery shopping.
There are about 8 pumps. The good thing is that cars are able to line up from the parking lot and so does not present a hazard to normal street traffic. To me this is a more logical layout as a typical petrol station would have the line up spilling on to the street, which impedes traffic. This Caltex can get busy, but this is mainly due to it competitive petrol pricing.
One annoying thing though is many motorists wait for a bowser that's on the same side as their petrol tank filler cap, rather than taking the alternative bowser. Many don't realise that the bowser petrol hose detracts out and can reach the other side of their car. Alternatively some drive their car out and park the car with the nose facing in which is totally unnecessary.
The petrol station accepts Woolworths eGift cards and you get Reward points. There is no surcharge on Amex cards and you can use contactless payment. I found the cashier to be friendly and courteous.
I used to refuel at Caltex Woolworths always because I shop at Woolworths but now I shop around for fuel using the fuel check app. Even with the 4cents per litre saving, they are often not the cheapest fuel around anymore. Shop around people.
Petrol station is laided out wrong and is a pain to get in and out of. They have long reach hoses but the pumps as shocking. I told the staff member I could piss faster than it comes out of the pump. Staff are always friendly with a smile.
There is this very old Indian/Sri Lankan woman who serves behind the counter at the Caltex gas station. She is very rude to people, especially to teenagers for no apparent reason. I have already complained to woolworths to see if they can do anything to resolve it but it has been 5 months and nothing has happened. Can't believe they still let a nasty woman like her run this place. AVOID this place. Go take your business elsewhere.
Overall great experience and the staff greet you which is nice afyer a long day. The only problem is Queuing here is a nightmare. Especially with Woolworths shoppers coming out through the wrong lane.
Convenient location near Woolworths supermarket. Be aware peak times can mean a long line but great fuel station with Ethanol available.
Also air and water near entry.
Entering from Blaxland Rd shows a "No Entry" sign to the service station. Going around & queueing up then coming to the service pumps meant hose won't reach fuel tank nozzle, so had to drive out, turn around and enter from Blaxland entry again!
Petrol normally a good price for E10 and premium, it’s always busy but there’s plenty of pumps. Service is quite good and prompt. The station is a little out of my way but always worth the drive
This is a poorly designed site with problems with first-in-first-served as people compete for pumps on busy days. Probably needs to have someone on the forecourt supervising care movements when it is really busy. I like it that I can fill up after shopping in the Woolworths but often leave to go somewhere else if the queue of cars waiting to be served is too long.
The layout of this service station is not very convenient. It’s difficult to see when a pump is free, and there is always a lineup. Waiting area for cars is not convenient. People waiting for specific pump block other cars as there is only one entrance
Pretty much fuel only as there's little more than room for the cashier inside the "store".
The layout of the carpark means that the petrol line is almost always long. And even though the hoses are extra long so you can fuel from either side, most of the time people don't realise that and so sit there while half the pumps are empty! There are also tvs on the pumps that blare the same 3-5 ads very loudly on a loop forever. This doesn't make the petrol any cheaper, we just have to suffer through these loud ads because.no reason.
Price consistently lowest among the nearby servos; however the access is quite annoying and sometimes queues is too long
Regularly get fuel here, and there is one of the chaps behind the counter does a great job, his customer service is great and has a pleasant demeanour. Perhaps the hedge near the large price display board on balaclava Rd needs to be trimmed even lower, so that the price of vortex 98 can be clearly seen
I prefer this pump as it is one of the few Woolworth operated fuel pump in the area. The reason I mention Woolworth operated is because it accepts the Woolworths eGift cards which I normally get for 5% off. In effect, I am able to fuel up at 5% discount.
It's a standard petrol station. Not the most convenient to get into, but good service. Haven't had a bad experience here.
