Caltex Macksville reviews
39Convenient 24 hrs station at Macksville. Good selection of hot foods and other snacks. They accept woolworths rewards card. Petrol more expensive than others but you're paying for the convenience. Would recommend and has 2 x ev charging stations.
Can get busy but plenty of parking and a few spots behind service station for truck parking
Grumpy woman who took our order. My husband has industrial deafness and didn't hear her properly and she said.
' I said. '. Rude. The tables weren't wiped down from previous patrons and the food and coffee was nothing to rave about. Pretty average experience overall.
Both ladies serving were great. The smaller one in the cooked section was excellent. The sandwiches and wrapswere packed with meat and fillings. The chips were the best I've ever had. We travel from Brisbane to Batemans Bay one or 2 times a year. We'll definitely will be returning here again and again.
I was spending $30to $50 a day sat and Sun on food and coffee but now ide rather go else where as the girl with the long blonde hair is absolutely useless and makes coffee taste like dirt. 3 times in a row she made the most filthiest coffee it's absolutely pathetic. One night I was told no coffee because she had to many other things to do before she knocks off same blonde girl
Great spot to stop for a break on the trip up the coast. Good food at reasonable prices. Fairly short wait on orders. Clean facilities.
Although Macksville has been bypassed, it is only a short detour off the highway to get there and it is still worth stopping in. Much easier to get in and out of the service station too without all the through traffic.
We regularly make a pilgrimage from Port Macquarie to visit the Cemetery. We used to love the hot crispy thick chips and the Salad Bar. Yesterday the food was disgusting. We ordered an open steak sandwich with the “lot”; a cheese burger and a plate of chips for our granddaughter: what can I say? Even the toast was burnt. The steak was cold and leathery. The chips were not separate (were divided between the two meals). The chips were cold and leathery. The “Burger” came with salad and no cheese. Our granddaughter ate about two chips and said “she didn’t like them”. Even the playground was closed. On our next rip we will go to the “Club”. And certainly not to the Eatery at the Service Station.
Friendly staff and clean but very expensive food takeaway but reasonable price for sit down food
This servo it is large with plenty of parking, is much better for people traveling or truck drivers, as has a restaurant- take away. Also has toilets, is open 24 hours and has a store. The staff are very friendly. Also has a restaurant and takeaway food.
Great customer service, helpful first time in area. 24 hour petrol, showers, clean amenities.back parking for car & caravan.coffee n snacks, breakfasts available.highly recommend to all travelers
Had great coffee and absolutely fabulous sandwich. Very fresh and so tasty. Called the plough man's sandwich. Recommend.
Very disappointing place. I would never go there again wasn't very welcoming food very disappointing coffee very poor very dissatisfied customer
Stopped in for a hot drink, barista was on a break and other staff couldn't make a chai. Disappointing.
Not far off main highway. Parking and fuel for trucks if needed. Kitchen was closed but fast food was available.
One of those ripoff cafes inside no $1 -$2 coffee machines. Must pay 4x the price to wait longer for a lower quality coffee than a machine can make.the machines are more polite also mind you.
Must miss.
For a 24 hours Service station. You would think they would still serve coffee. Was told rudely at 8: 45pm on a Sunday night that NO. Its all shut down. I call in twice a day at various times. An spend an easy $35.00 a day Staff are usually amazing. Pretty disappointed actually.
Premade chicken burgers are to well cooked and are hard and tasteless. Sometimes the chips taste oily. The best thing they had was a roast beef and gravy roll which they done away with.
We have been customers there for at least 12 yrs great service family owned and run we were having car problems with petrol not anymore
The best roadhouse burgers I have ever had! I always make an effort to stop into the roadhouse when traveling between Sydney and Brisbane.
If you want a good feed I would recommend getting off the highway and pulling into this roadhouse!
The staff is courteous and helpful. Before COVID19 the meals were great and there was quite a variety for selection.
