Stopped for lunch and snacks whilst charging. Chicken burger was 10/10. Fresh, hot and juicy. Burned my tongue eating it too fast!

Lost one star for the 3 flies annoying me whilst o eat and the inside toilet could do with a renovation. At least I didn’t have to use the outdoor portable toilets.

They play annoying blaring ads to you while your fuelling up, all I want to do is fuel up and be on my way. Used to fuel up all the time here and now won’t be back

I hurt my hand entering and leaving the bathroom, the door is extremely heavy and unsafe for elderly, disabled or children trying to use the bathroom.
I mentioned this issues to 2 seperate staff members who agreed with me but didn’t seem to care.
If anyone with a wheelchair actually was able to get inside the loo, they wouldn’t be able to get out without assistance.
Extremely unsafe.
If I could give a zero I would but I can’t do I give this faculty a 1.

I bought 2 chocolates and a drink, we started eating and realised quickly they were 6 months out of date.
I returned to let them know and was asked to step aside so the attendant could serve other customers but there were 3 other staff members on site who didn’t bat an eye lid.
Terrible service, obvious management issues and out of date products.
Also, the bathroom door was extremely heavy and dangerous for anyone with a disability or for small children.
Avoid this servo, go across the road.

The toilet door is so heavy that if someone in a wheelchair was actually able to access in the first place, they would never be able to open the door, without assistance. 10/10 NOT A DISABILITY SAFE SPACE

Absolutely disgusted! I paid for my fuel on number 12 and was accused of using number 10 as well. I told the male staff member I had not used that bowser which apparently had $10 on it. I tried to calmly explain he was incorrect he was extremely agitated and was yelling. His behaviour was over the top and intimidating. My husband came in to the store with me after hearing him yelling at me. He was yelling I’m going to report you as a drive off. He continued yelling and we asked him 3 times to check the cameras that he wax mistaken. He yelled I fricken can’t I’m not a manager! He was so angry! I thought he was going to jump the counter yelling get out of my store! We asked for a manager and he yelled Steve was not there and don’t worry he’ll be after us as a drive off. I will be contacting Steve the manager personally and request he reviews the cameras with us to see how this staff member behaved! Absolutely disgusting! While this man is employed I would advise not to go there alone. Happy to include the Police in this matter.

My name is Natalie and I recently was placed in temporary accommodation due to domestic violence.

All I had was a backpack with a few clothing items and not much else. I didn’t have a phone charger with me and my phone was on 2%. Due to the desperate circumstances, I didn’t get time to pack my belongings including my phone charger.

I arrived at the temporary accommodation at midnight and due to the situation I was in, against my will, I had no way of charging my phone and I had $20 to my name. My card was taken by my violent partner.

I visited the Ampol
Service station in Heatherbrae, where I was met by STEVE. I didn’t have enough money to buy a phone charger and I was very visibly distraught about the idea of not having a phone, in case of an emergency or if my partner found me.
STEVE was so kind and accommodating and he let me sit in the dining area of the shop and offered me to use his phone charger that was behind the counter.
When I sat in the store and charged my phone, he was very polite and a gentleman.
I have taken the time to thank Steve at Heatherbrae, because after everything I endured from domestic violence, he was a kind, safe man that helped me in my time of crisis.
I charged my phone and I appreciate the kindness and professionalism that Steve offered me.
He is an absolute credit to the business.
I didn’t get to thank you personally on the night Steve, for making such a difficult time for me, much more genuine.
There should be more men like Steve in this world.

The most rude and inappropriate people work in this gas station, probably because no one controls them! I hope companies control their employees more!

Nice clean facility. Decent food selection for those on the go. The petrol station is clean with a working air station and water station that includes a bucket and squeegee. Boost juice is onsite (at the time of this review) along with a hungry jack. The toilet was nice and clean also.

What a scam, selling Prime drink for $19.99! Go to Woolies and buy for $4.50. Blatant attempt to rip off customers. Shame on you

This is a debacle of a garage. They have only one all purpose toilet for everyone to use, if your bursting you'll have to wait in line and be quick about it - plus it opens into the shop!
They focus on the cooked food area but the quick take away food items leave a lot to be desired - stale sandwiches! The drinks fridges are groaning with beverages that suit the needs of runners, gymnasts etc. What is there to drink for the normal folk? They do not give Woolworths points as many ampol service stations do, and according to their dockets they are Caltex not Ampol! Never again, what a disaster - oh but they do have heaps of charging stations - so it's obvious the clientele they are catering for!

Overall good experience. Didn’t fill up on petrol.

Plenty of snacks and drinks. Cabinet with hot meals. Serves lots of fresh drinks and coffee.
Great couch in the seating area and friendly service. Ordinary coffee but good iced coffee was good.

Single unisex bathroom available, could be maintained a little better. Recommend putting in a hook for bags.

Doesn't accept NMRA discount card. Very annoying when we turned around especially to get discount.

Some pumps have premium diesel and some don't. Easy to get stung for extra dollars once you have already pulled in.

This place is new, spacious and convenient.   Usually more expensive than in Newcastle as with all the petrol stations on the hwy north. Good shop with good selection. Pumps are new and fast. Strange also they don't accept woolworths rewards cards like other ampol/Caltex do?

Done everything for covid only to be told to put their fasemask on i explained to them i cant wear them my doc said ok for face shield but not good enough for them i was ordered out of the shop as i had already ordered food i went out to wait but i changed my mind told them to keep there food im not happy

One of the rudest people I’ve been served by anywhere works on a Monday and Tuesday night, the New Zealand lady, down right rude, unhelpful and snappy, acts as if she hates to serve u or just do the job she’s paid for, like it’s an inconvenience that u go in there and buy stuff!

Independent Caltex has all the usual things but also has a reasonable takeaway with good coffee, watch out for the bacon and egg roll, runny egg all down my shirt. Lol

Always a pleasure. The facilities are always neat and clean. Staff are polite. There is a huge variety of 'non petrol station' food available. Frozen meals that you can warm up in a microwave oven and have a sit down meal. This is on the same property as the Tesla superchargers, so those who are one step ahead of the rest, you'll be please to know that this is not a bad place to stop.

Best cafe food I ever had at ANY service station.fruit salad divine.coffee yum.and hot chicken roll hit the protein spot.it'll be my favourite break stop from now on.thank you
