Byron Private Treatment Centre

Thank you to all of the team at Byron Private. Having been around abit in regards to mental health treatment world, I could not suggest or recommend this treatment facility more if I try.

I spent 6 weeks weeks in treatment for a combination of agenda's leading to my inpatient stay. Being some what sceptical as past experiences have not been the right fit, it was very early on that found that Byron private staff are very well prepared for complex patients, this was shown to me within the first couple of days with all of the staff been very approachable no matter on the size and magnitude of the issue or situation.

During treatment all your needs are met and you have a strong voice in the direction of your treatment plan which is very reassuring as the one size fits all approach is left at the door.

Living in a therapeutic community and environment has so many positives something I was a little bit sceptical about, but once settled in it becomes a very important part of you experiences, journey and recovery.

I would highly recommend the Byron Private facility to anyone looking to do the work to heal and work on themselves.

Being a veteran I highly recommend as they really treat you as an individual and not just a number as us Ex Defence force member are accustomed too.

Thank you to every single one of the staff for all of your help, support, guidance and compassion during my stay, The staff are who create the safe trusting environment to be able to be in a position to open up and get to work.

This place is remarkable and has really done so much good to not only help me in my time of need but also help and create a path moving forward with confidence and tools to take on life's challenges.

Truly an environment of healing and learning that has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I definitely recommend it for Veterans or anyone struggling with PTSD or a history of trauma and associated alcohol or substance abuse issues.

When I first started at the BP, I was very sceptical about the whole concept around the community therapy but by the 2nd week I revealed a childhood trauma that I hadn't revealed to anyone including my family. This is when my scepticism left and I fully participated in all activities. I can honestly say that my experience at the BP was attitude changing. My family cannot get over the change in my attitude and behaviours. Thanks to Kylie and her professional team including medical, carers, chefs and all other specialists. I have continued to stay in contact with my fellow colleagues/community members. A great experience.

The program will go where you need it to, and it’s truly remarkable how the staff and carers will be with you each step you take. To begin with my Life was heading towards 2 Options Incarceration or Suicide. My anger was at a Critical Point that I was a Ticking Time Bomb. The Police were Involved and I was very Lucky to Avoid Goal. I called my Psychiatrist and he Referred Myself to BP. The 6 Weeks I was there were the Most Profound Experience of My life. From what I have Learnt I have turned My Life completely around. I am Still Drug and Alcohol Free. This is all from the Program of BP. The Staff at BP are Superb in what they do. They are the subject Matter Experts in Physical and Mental Support. From Myself and My Family I Thank You for a Second Chance at Life.

My experience at Byron Private TC was life changing! I will be forever thankful to the staff and residents for the amazing support that I received whilst in their care, and also post care follow ups. If you are looking for reprieve from your current situation and surroundings, and are ready to open up to the idea of repair and a new way of taking care of yourself, this is your place.

I couldn’t be happier with Byron Private
I went in a mess & came out feeling like a new man, by day 3 I noticed my anxiety was gone & it only got better from there. The food was fantastic & staff & residents were so friendly & supportive, it’s the perfect place to heal & get your life back on track but just like other treatment centres you do have to put in the hard work, there’s no miracle cure.

I can’t rate Byron Private highly enough.
After 3 1/2 years of suffering with Post Concussion Symptoms I ended up at BP in a hopeless and desperately low

On arrival I immediately felt that I was in the right place. It was professional, organised and the staff made me feel safe.
The staff were genuine, patient, professional and totally dedicated to my care.
(If I saw or heard one thing that made me doubt or mistrust them there was no way I would’ve opened up like I did). They remained consistent, and I grew to trust them.

The most important thing to me was that I felt heard and genuinely listened to.

To have such skilled, highly trained medical, allied health and care professionals working in one place is so valuable and incredible. My treatment program was so effective.
My health (mental/physical/emotional) has improved dramatically.

Byron Private was a wonderful experience for me. I got a lot out of my stay here. The program is intense but very helpful. The staff are incredibly good at what they do and really give their time and show alot of care. The environment is beautiful and safe and the food is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone seeking help with addiction and mental health.

BP has changed the trajectory of my life and therefore additionally the lives of the others close to me like my family and friends. It was EXACTLY the model I needed to be exposed to in order to make quick and effective progress. The model clearly works and nearly everyone on staff makes you feel at home but also challenges you on your journey through their own experiences. I found one person to lack a bit of bedside manner and come across harsh to fragile people but that is one out of all the staff so nothing should be taken away from the others. If you get the chance to go to BP. GO! It has changed many people's lives and I am one of them. I owe the program and more so the carers and therapeutic community a-lot.

Byron Bay private was more than anything I’ve ever expected and I truly believe that I should’ve come 20 years ago. The carers and staff have been amazing and understand you and care for you in a way that surpasses anything I’ve experienced in my life. Their holistic approach is amazing and they truly have the best people in all areas to achieve your goal and treatment. I’m saying that.you yourself have to put the work in and be honest and willing. The food is amazing and everyone from the chefs to the therapists to the office staff are impeccable. I believe everyone despite an addiction or not.needs to attend to byron bay private as it equips you with life skills to live a fulfilling, authentic and true life and to tackle life’s challenges. For me I have leg feeling myself again and gained family and I can truly say has saved my life.thankyou to all the staff member and residents that I got to share my journey with.

Byron Private was the BEST thing that ever happened to me. I went in with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and at the time I was drinking way too much to mask all 3 issues. From the moment I arrived I felt most welcomed and comfortable.

Dealing with my issues was not working out so well on my own and to go into a community that understood exactly what I was going through was a brand new experience for me. I didn't have to hide or down play what was going on and I was always encouraged and supported to talk about it. I was able to be myself, and it was okay.

There is support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if ever you needed it. The staff are absolutely incredible and some of the most loving, caring, people I have ever met. They understand you.

The program covered what I needed, along with things I didn't know I needed, and it was able to set me up to once again take on the outside world.

There is a great balance between therapy and the time you have on your own (which is needed).

Words will never be able to express my gratitude to the team at Byron Private and the community I was able to share my journey with. I have made a lot of progress and have made some life long friends.

It was really hard to leave Byron Private, as if I could have stayed there forever I would.it was just amazing.

Byron Private was what I needed to shift the direction of my life! The warm community, nutritious food and daily routines of various forms of therapy really helped me get back in touch with myself. I arrived at BP exhausted, completely run down and broken. I was welcomed into the Community with open arms and led gently into my process of recovery. The holistic treatment program is what stands BP apart, working the mind, body and spirit in parallel to create the solid foundation required to obtain and then maintain recovery going forward. From the gym visits, to swimming in the ocean, amazing group and individual therapy, massages, acupuncture, yoga, sleep and delicious wholesome food - you cannot help but begin to mend the broken parts. I left BP with practical skills, physical and mental strength, self love and care, and most importantly appreciation and gratitude for the amazing team of therapists and carers. Special thanks to Kylie and Dave - this place is truly magical.

When I arrived at Byron Private, I was broken and disheveled and was struggling with hope and purpose in my life. To put it simply, BBP saved my life!
Having been at other clinical rehabs and finding them a bit like a revolving door, I was eager to try something outside the box. I was recommended BBP by a colleague and became curious about the Holistic approach which BBP offers. It was bang on the money and perfect for what I needed to regain my life. It has given me a fundamental platform to move forward, and a solid foundation to assist me with my recovery. It allowed me the opportunity to dig deep with my emotions on a daily basis and learn more about myself than ever before. Whilst I learnt lots from the staff, Therapists and of course the terrific carers, it was through the community setting with other residents that I really began to regain my purpose.
There is not a bad word I could say about BBP and would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling. I am not sure what my life would look like ATM if not for this programme, I have hope and purpose in my life again and I have restored the Dignity and Pride in myself that had been missing in my dark times.

I came into the treatment program not knowing what to expect. The support I received was endless. Having been to other clinical facilities in NSW, I believe the holistic approach to one's health is the deal breaker. The food and catering is broad and delicious. Treatment and activities are excellent and outside the general clinical box of a hospital facility. The property's location is close enough to Byron's beaches but tucked away in a bush setting.
I now have a broader understanding into my conditions and a great range of tools to get by. By giving this program a go, I have regained aspects of my life. I can't recommend this place any more. Not enough of society takes the time to understand what makes an individual tick. I am grateful and looking forward to my journey and life ahead.

The compassion of staff; attention to detail of my needs each day; the healing energy of the land on which the clinic is located; and the model of care including a broad range of therapeutic modalities and integrated care helped me to make gains and progress in areas that have been significant challenges for me for many years.
