Got home delivery to Ellalong food was still hot and very quick.
Food was absolutely fantastic will be getting it again.

I got a strange vibe when I was handed the burger and upon reaching my home which was a few minutes away I realized the burger was ice cold. It was the crazy time of year, and I was starving, so I ended up recooking it on my stove at home.

In no way that burger should've touch a customer hands.

Honestly had such a great feed here. I tried the Fiend burger and loaded fries with pop corn chicken!

Approached the staff member on register to enquire about their gluten free options. She explained they could do gluten free burgers. I asked if they were coeliac safe or not, she then rolled her eyes and with obvious annoyance, told me that they were made in the same area and slid across the same surfaces so if I’m coeliac than don’t bother.
I’m fine with being told things aren’t safe for me, which is why I ask. But the attitude and complete distain for me was really quite shocking. I know gluten free people can be annoying as customers, but I can’t help that I’m coeliac, and I need to ask questions about cross contamination. Even if the reply had been delivered with a smile and a small measure of friendliness, it would have been fine!
But I would suggest that if you’re not going to offer true safe gluten free options, than perhaps don’t bother at all?
I’m sure the normal burgers are amazing, but I can only review from my experience with service and dietary options unfortunately.

Stopped in on the way to hunter valley gardens and the burgers were amazing! Loaded fries are delicious!

Ordered 2 burger combos and 2 loaded fries, paid a tip as I appreciate good service, received 2 combos, 1 loaded fries and 1 plain fries $90 meal and they can't get it right, never again, over priced for poor service

Loved the chunky burgers, fries and the milkshakes

We ordered:
- Shroom burger
- Double cheeseburger
- Sweet potato fries
- Salted caramel & Nutella shakes

Glad we didn’t skip the shakes and I’d recommend everything! We left really full

Second time here and it is one of the best burger places ever! I had the fancy one. Perfectly cooked patties full of smokiness and flavour but not oily, saltiness of the brisket pastrami was a nice contrast, mushrooms added the earthiness and pickled red onions made it so balanced. Top notch and a must visit on the way to the Hunter Valley. All the staff are friendly, the shop has a relaxed vibe and very clean and spacious. The chef takes pride in their work. Good stuff!

Have heard a lot about this place, finally tried it out and I'm disappointed, disappointed in myself for having this place only 1.5km from my house and taking so darn long to eat there.
Can not fault food (single patty feind with a side of onion rings) or customer service and am looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu, especially Cassandra Wong. Keep up the great work guys.

I had dinner her with my son and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The bugers were tasty, the staff were very pleasant. Will be frequenting Burgerfiend when ever i am on towm.

Top tier cheeseburger, like out of this world decent. Don’t think you’ll ever come across a burger joint who offers such quality gluten free bun. Could hardly believe it every mouthful. Off it’s head

Had the pleasure in eating in today, ordered the Cheeseburger combo. The burger was spot on, juicy, well sort out with a great tasting bun. Chips cooked well with a hint of salt.originally thought the price was high for a burger but ordering the combo was worth it. Service was quick and friendly.

Quality, delicious burgers that we make an effort to visit every time we're at the Hunter. Only downside is that its so far away from Sydney!

The online order didn't provide a time prior to paying, which was then 1hr 15. I then called into the shop and asked if it could be brought forward as we didn't want to wait that long and the female who runs the show carried on and said have you seen how many dockets we have here, you are being rude. Well aren't you a polite customer focused business.fix your online ordering system. I don't normally post online reviews but your female at the counter was lovely but the woman who runs the show needs work.

Considering I can't reply to your over worded response & inaccurate details contained in it. Yes I am a business owner, and I can say in the 10+ years since I have been a business owner, I never raised my voice like you did to me in your shop. Yes I deal with customers & clients who are frustrated, upset and angry but Not once have I raised my voice at them. If you think that dealing with them the way you did to me is fine and can fob it off saying that I shouted at you.well that is not accurate.

I didn't expect that my food would have been ready in 15 minutes and not once did I say this. I actually tried to call after my partner said it was going to ready at 7: 45pm and couldn't get through on the phone so I thought I would stop by on my way through town and see if there was an issue with the order system as it wasn't expected to be that long of a wait.

Yes I was disappointed about the time frame for the order (which my partner explained to Matt, that it didn't show on your online order system) & yes I did ASK about a refund as we had plans and wanted to eat before 7: 45pm but not once did I raise my voice or shout as you suggest or speak to your staff in a bad manner. The only person who raised their voice at anytime was yourself & in fact one of your other customers approached me outside saying the same as me. Yes I did ASK if it could be brought forward but again not shouting as you say. Not once did I speak to your staff poorly and even thanked the young girl on the counter for trying.

But anyway that's how the story goes & I guess judging by your reply to my review you'll be waiting as long as I will for an apology.

"You must let us know if you need your burgers dead and cremated". Seriously, dead and cremated? !

Definitely the best burgers in Cessnock! Our family can’t keep ourselves from coming back for more. What we like the most from Burgerfiend is that everything is obviously fresh and that they don’t skimp on the ingredients. Make sure to try their milkshakes, especially the espresso and nutella ones! To be honest, it would probably the best milkshakes we’ve ever had because as I mentioned before, they don’t skimp on the ingredients.

The service is exceptional over here as well, especially from the owners themselves. We always feel very welcomed every time we step foot into their shop, even during a busy service.

If I could, I’d give this place a 4.7/5 to be honest. Lively, hip, fresh and cool burger joint.

As for the burgers?
Well I’ve been to 46 countries and have my own cheeseburger reference and I’d give their cheeseburger a solid 8.9/10. Very good indeed. The patty was perfectly cooked. The bun was awesome. That’s me comparing their burgers to one’s I’ve had around the US and Europe.

So for me it’s a job very well done. They should be proud. They lose a star as I got a bit of attitude from the teller during my order but hey, can’t fault the whole joint for that.

I will be sure to drop in every time I’m in town.

Delicious Burgers and the sweet potato fries are crispy and yum! Uncomplicated and friendly service. New premises with lots of space. We will be back.
