Burger Hounds reviews
54 Decent food but they close extremely early. Very strange decision
In response to the owner:
Because you've lost our business multiple times due to early closing. The food is great, but if we simply cant get it at a reasonable hour than thats a bad experience. Don't play the victim game and please consider the feedback.
Great burgers but terrible time keepers. Website quoted pick up available in 20 mins, decided to schedule an order for 45 mins later but BH still couldn’t have that ready on time without a furthe delay. Not the first time had this experience so definitely room for improvement.
This place has a lot of potential and I like the variation of burgers on the menu. However, this was let down by the fact that burgers tasted very similar to each other.
I also felt my patty was overcooked but perhaps this is my fault for asking for something less than done.
Loved this burger place. Its not easy to find good food in north-shore but burger hounds is definitely and exception.
Best Burgers in Wahroonga/Hornsby area. No way you can go wrong. Staff are always friendly. We've been going back every Friday night like clock work.
Came here this week and ordered the snap crackle and pow burger! This burger was so crunchy and tasty! The burger bun was also very unique and made the experience and Burger Hounds excellent! Would definetly recommend giving it a try you, will be surprised how crunchy it is!
Great burger, sad the delivery can be long and the packaging isn't very good to keep the food in place.
Thanks for answering that show how professional you guys are, change 4 to 5 stars.
Another update, the Lux and the Canuck burger, are just F****** amazing!
Guys well done! Keep the hard work and the good social network job!
Hmmm.chicken nuggets from the Burger Hound? I should have stick to the burgers - which are excellent!
In the last few months the store has gone downhill. I’m a regular customer but the decision to shift to generic Hungry Jacks style fries and lower quality sauces has left a sour taste in my mouth. The burgers are still fantastic but the fries have ruined the experience. I don’t know if this is due to inflation or just a decision to cut costs but as a regular customer, I’d rather pay more for the fantastic hand cut fries and fresh gravy on the poutine of the past than the frozen generic fries and packet gravy.
Can’t believe I haven’t rated these guys sooner. Not just best burgers in the north (which they are - HANDS DOWN), best burgers in Sydney. Consistency is phenomenal and every burger unique in its own way. I won’t lie, some of the specials have been “okay”, but others are next level. Their mainstay burger range is 10/10 and the sides are stellar. Chicken ribs in Korean Sweet Chilli… Damn! Give this place a go if you’re around the area…
Delicious burgers, and friendly staff. I love 'The Hound', with its onion rings and streaky bacon.
Burgers were OK. Nice to eat with lots of toppings but didn't have much flavour. You could probably make the same at home but they were still yummy. Just nothing special. Prices were fair. The service was reasonable. Big range which was nice.
Chips were really authentic.
We ordered takeaway for dinner.
Burgers where good, shame you can’t get buns without the black sesame.
They also messed up the fires pretty bad, it came barely fried as seen on the photo.
For full disclosure I have to add that I have tried them before at the restaurant and it was really good, that’s why the 3 stars rating and not less
Burger hounds was the best burger in north shore area. But I dont know what happened, they changed their menu and maybe changed their chef? No more juicy pink patty, also the smell and taste was awfull. I just had 2bites of it and I am sick from last night.
I think patty had more fat than meat. Me and my daughter couldn’t eat it, and hubby was so hungry and he didn’t enjoy it either. Never buy again and I will miss your old days burgers
How brilliant is this place? Massive portions, great taste and awesome drinks. Probably one of the best burgers I ever had. Highly recommended!
Burgers are not what they used to be. Patties are pre cooked and stacked on grill making them quite dry and lacking flavour. Have heard similar comments from several people now. No other burger shop opts for efficiency over quality like this. Really is a shame to see things go this way. Has always been my favourite burger shop but not so appealing any more.
May I Introduce The Snap Crackle Pow! This has to be one of the best burgers I've ever had, fried chicken breast with rice bubbles, lettuce, red onions with a chipotle mayo, I've been here twice, definitely not disappointed
Amazing burgers. New favourite in Sydney. The burgers are huge and the truffle parmesan hand cut chips amazing. Will definitely be heading back soon.
An amazing find. Great burgers and poutine! So hard to find poutine here in Sydney and this was really tasty and well done. Also great for takeaway since they make sure to separate the sauce to not let it get soggy.
The hound is the burger of the year! Not only delicious but with generous servings as well. $22 is reasonable price. It has three gorgeous onion rings, three well cooked bacon slices, thick and juicy beef patty, pickles, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The chicken ribs have an exotic flavour and worth a try. Would come back.
