Buckland Aged Care Services

I'm changing my review. In the past it was a 1 star review. I've upgraded to a 3 star review.
Since the new facility manager took over a year ago a lot of positive changes have happened.
Johannes stepped up and was excellent during covid. Kept family up to date on lockdown and on going changes without fail.
Food has improved with new menu changes.
The staff are fantastic and do there best.
Johannes has been promoted to the CEO and that personal touch is now lagging.
But overall it's improved dramatically.

Kind, Caring and hardworking staff in lovely facilities. Don't forget about Buckland fete. No brainer for oldies in the mountains.

Great retirement village but has lost control of its reason for being. Govt has taken away the capacity to have care from 55 to grave. Residents no longer have immediate access to staged care.

Buckland Residential Care should be ashamed of themselves.
There is no communication between staff at all. On the weekends there is no one to be found. 'You cannot find staff anywhere'. One staff member rang our family to ask where our grandmother was and she had been in hospital for a couple of days.
I absolutely hated my grandmother being in there. She had less care in there than being left at her own home.
If you want your family to be cared for, I would not recommend Buckland Residential low Care or I should say, 'No Care'.
This is the first bad review I have given, but if I can help one person with their decision to where they should place their loved ones then I have done my job. I know my Nanna would have wanted me to say this.

My parents lived there until my Dad passed away and Mum continued to live there on her own and has recently moved into the hostel and is extremely happy living in her unit. She loves her meals 3 times a day participates in activities.
