Nice, comfy seating. More raking would be good but most seats quite close to the stage. Enjoyed the show we saw very much.
Lovely little venue. Loved seeing my friend Bloom play there yesterday morning. One suggestion I do have. I was able to get my cabbie to bring me to the show in the morning, but he could not take me to Canterbury Leagues after the show. I am on a walking frame. I rang for a cab after the show and it never showed up. After a while of walking along the road, looking for a cab rank, 2 lovely ladies walking towards me found one, and got a cabbie to come and pick me up in front of the courthouse. I was told that cabs do not like picking up at the BB theatre, but whilst I was waiting for the cab, there were buses picking up elderly passengers at the top of the ramp. It would be really good if a drop off and pick up point could be arranged for cabs to cater for the disabled. Just a suggestion. It probably can't happen. If I come to the venue again, I will get my cabbie to drop me off and pick me up. He dropped me off just in front of the steps and I walked up the ramp. No such luck after the show. Cheers
Conveniently located within few meters from railway station, bus stand, university, shopping complex and eateries
Nice little theatre next to the library in the heart of Bankstown. Busy area bang in middle of city so hard to find parking. Enjoy going to this theatre for functions. Needs updating though eg seats need freshening up.
Went to cafe for the first time.
Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Great to see smiling staff on other side of counter
20 year old technology. No onstage microphones, visual prompters and visual queuing supports available. Bring your own add-ons as the theatre only has an amplifier, good theatre speakers and a projector.
Nice cozy space for medium size functions (100 to 150) with decent parking on weekends.
Friendly and very helpful staff
Lovely place, right in with the library. Attended the youth and children's awards as my son was a finalist. Great hospitality
Very nice place would love to go there for other performances open space, lift, Cafe what more can we ask
Great little venue with well setup seating.
Food is very reasonable.
Toilets need more maintenance.
Staff is very helpful and courteous.
Venue was good and seating was comfortable.
Steven Voulgaris, who is the new Manager of the Bryan Brown Theatre, promises to make the venue a premier entertainment destination in Canterbury-Bankstown.
“I want the Bryan Brown Theatre to be a one-stop destination for those who enjoy a night out and one that will attract both locals and visitors, ” he said.
“Over the next 12 months, the community can expect a reinvigorated production program, beginning with Oliver, Fame, and Remembering the Carpenters, along with additional big-name shows that you’d see at any other big theatre.
“I’ll be looking to schedule local community shows, live music and comedy nights as well.
“I want people to be buzzing when they come to the theatre and leave wanting to come back for more. The key to that vibrancy is bringing in shows they want to see and are well-known. ”
A new interactive website has also be unveiled, which allows theatre-goers to choose their seats online and print them from the comfort and ease of their own home.
Very cosy theatre, with comfortable seats and good view from all of them. The bar gets crowded because there is not enough staff to attend.
Wonderful performance from Emily Potts. My Fair Lady. Great acting, great singing. What a star! Well done. Thoroughly enjoyable show. Brilliant.
