Browns Flat Rest Area Southbound reviews
24Clean rest area, various bathrooms and tables in the shade. No overnight camping. You only park a few trees in the sun. They usually start making coffee or some drink
Unfortunately not maintained. All foir toilets were unusable and two were completely flooded with god knows what.
Great rest area along the M1. Don’t count on driver reviver tho. They are never there. On the odd occasion you do catch them, they service instant coffee and terrible pies. Worth stopping to see the other coffee van that’s open 7day. Barista coffee, excellent food and the best service.
Disgusting, the toilets were filthy, the lawn was a foot high, rubbish lying around, people travel all the time.
Good little spot for a quick break. Shaded seating, grassed areas and easy parking. Should be more of these places. Victoria needs to take note of these areas.
This is one of my go to stopping points on my way down the coast back to Sydney. Nice and open, plenty of picnic tables under cover and a coffee van that sells decent (not spectacular) coffee and some food.
Toilets are in an absolute disgusting state. Toilet paper everywhere! One family went to the next stop because of this. Really hope this changes. Apart from that nice stop with adequate parking.
Wild open rest area with plenty of parking for both light and heavy vehicles.
Toilets with regular water flash system instead hole in the ground so it's relatively clean.
Usual tables with sun shades for a bit of relaxation before hitting the road again.
On our visit we found a mobile coffee van parked there serving quite reasonable coffees. The girl behind the counter was quite friendly and helpful. Judging by a sign at the rest area this is a regular thing.
Note that if you continue south on M1 there's a service station with a Subway on the southbound exit not that far away. Although I didn't stop to check it out.
Good facilities. Plenty of room. A good spot to stop for a break for yourself and the dog. Sometimes you can get a coffee there too.
It can get crowded during the night but if you can find a spot, it's a great place to park a B Double for a fatigue management break.
Great facility to exercise or just spend a day in the garden.unbelievable play area for the kids
Wonderful.
Very very clean, lovely clean toilets and the Coffee Cart WAS serving fantastic coffee and nice sandwiches
Nice rest area to stop at along your way. Driver Revival open Peak Holiday time. Great service. Free Coffee Tea, Cordial Milo and Biscuits. Can buy Meat Pies, Sausage Rolls, Drinks, Super Doopers.
Terrific place to make a stop on a long freeway journey. Clean toilets & grounds & good seating areas. Plenty of parking for trucks & cars.
Good spot to stop. Can get a bit busy but park at the back. Toilets a good fir a public road stop
The toilets are ok. No overnight sleeping that ok I didn’t need to anyway. Itchy grass, should have worn pants
Good place to stretch you legs
Clean amenities
Lots of tables and benches for lunch or a break
Coffee cart not open. No shade to park in. Toilets have no paper. No swings or picnic tables. Room for large vehicles. Ambulant toilet
A well appointed rest stop at the right distance from Harrington. Unfortunately there was no Coffee and Doughnut Cart there that day.
