Brokenwood Wines reviews
77Troy was fantastic at explaining various wines and also making it interesting for beginner like me.
Our cellar door sales guy Oli was absolutely incredible. Our experience was by far the best of all the wineries we went to. Oli made the experience so enjoyable and he was so generous with his time and effort. We loved the wines we bought and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks Oli!
Lovely customer service! Walked in today to have lunch with friends and they were very accommodating to organize a table for us. Leah was lovely and made special zero alcoholic drinks for us while there were none on the menu and was also very kind to our baby
My husband and I dropped in for an impromptu visit. The customer service and overall experience we received from Jade was simply exceptional. Wonderful atmosphere with delicious wine and food options, along with great live music.
Definitely worth a visit
Beautiful private, group wine tasting experience complete with a menu and each wine matched with an appetiser.
The main was an explosion of flavours, I've honestly never had such juicy and delicious chicken before.
A beautiful and relaxing venue, no wonder so many people come here! Such a big building too that there is a good amount of space between tables.
Great service! Especially from the young guy in the general bar/dining area. We had a pizza and oysters and they were delicious. Wine went perfectly with our meal too.
Brokenwood Wines was able to squeeze as in for a last minute wine tasting. They were extremely accommodating and showed as a wide variety of wines. Oli was the person looking after us and was very knowledgeable and fun throughout the experience. Highly recommend trying Brokenwood Wines if you are heading the Hunter Valley!
Spent a weekend at the Hunter Valley and booked for the Journey experience at Brokenwood. We were seating in a private area overlooking the barrels and started off with 6 wines pair with amazing canapes. Then we went for a visit of the winery and had a glass of Shiraz straight from the barrel. How cool!
The experience ended in the private room where we had a final glass of wine paired with a dessert.
It was the best experience ever and our guide and host, Baiden, was spectacular.
We will definitely come back!
Thank you!
Had a wonderful tasting with Xaviera who really made our experience wonderful. Highly recommended
Had an awesome experience and tasting with Harry as he journeyed us throughout all the tastings and single vineyards they had available for the current and upcoming season. Would definitely recommend a visit for those looking for an enjoyable tasting session or just for something to feast on with great scenery.
Since last time. I think it was November
I've wanted to come to this winery.finally came down today to try their wines.
Unfortunately I couldn't find my favourite but I promised you that the staff were very well trained and very friendly.even if we didn't want anything, they still have very good customer service
The atmosphere is nice and looks amazing n views from the outside were great.
Brokenwood was a lovely stop along the way on our wine tour. Troy who ran our wine tasting was especially great (our entire table of 12 concurred!). He was such a super informative and engaging wine tasting host! Will definitely be recommending this place.
What a venue! Stylish, sophisticated, spectacular view and setting - that is Brokenwood cellar door. Our Sommelier, Troy, delighted us with an array of Australian wines while he made riveting conversations with all other guests. We were at ease with his conversation, warmth and wit! He made our tasting one of a kind and a very memorable experience. Thank you Troy, we’ll be back!
Great way to spend an afternoon - sitting on the lovely Brokenwood deck, looking at the fantastic view, listening to live music, enjoying the Brokenwood wine selection and enjoying a grazing platter. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We came 45min before closing, they said they were done w/ tastings for the day which we said no problem- we’ve all been there, want to go home from work so we said we’ll just get a couple of flights. Once inside, we saw ppl sitting waiting for their tasting to start.
Our 2 separate orders of flights came in the same wine glass, we actually had to share the same wine glass. I’ve never seen that done before.
Best part- their only token wine (Graveyard) wasn’t available & was replaced w/ smth not equivalent at all. We usually finish our wine, we left w/ most of the wine on the table.
Delicious 12 hr slow cooked lamb shoulder at The Wood. The restaurant is definitely worth 5 stars review.
Unfortunately wine tasting crew were not as friendly as the restaurant. So we give it a miss.there are plenty more wineries with great wines we can buy.
We enjoyed lunch - pork collar was exceptional as was the fish. The flight tasting was really good (go for the $30 option to experience very high quality wines). Ethan looked after us, he was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. A pleasure to deal with. Overall a fantastic experience and we happily bought a dozen bottles. Highly recommended.
Good food, architecture and wine. The wine tasting flights are overpriced for what you receive. Also charged $42 for cricket pitch red when you can buy it from the front store for $22. Think they need to work on that pricing!
Great service, Xaviera was really sweet and knowledgeable about the wines and food. Chefs put out some incredible good that paired really well with the wine. Great location/property, highly recommend!
Had an extraordinary experience at Brokenwood with our very educational and accommodating host. We went together in with a group of 8 where we enjoyed a seated wine and food flight with a selection of 6 Brokenwood wines matched with bite-sized canapés. They took us on a food and wine journey and it would be the last time - I will be back again!
Would recommend to all foodies!
