Highly recommend that you get a draft invoice printed *when you drop off your car* so that scope of work and fee is agreed in writing and there is no risk of "miscommunication" about your booking. I cannot stress this enough after my experience.

27/07/23 update: Bridgestone and the store have been very conciliatory and done everything they can to resolve this complaint I made. There is a fair chance the "miscommunication" was genuine. I think my comment above remains as something I will always do in future with any mechanic, and recommend to others as good practice. Best not to perform hundreds of dollars of work on verbal discussions. (I emailed the store and still had a mix up).
Given the sincere follow-up by the store, I would be happy going back there for car servicing, I'd just get a draft invoice to start.

Couple months ago, on the way home I decided to come and get a pink slip at this place. Unfortunately, I did not get it. I did not get it at this place, but after I brought it to my mechanic the other day, he said that my car was completely fine for pink slip. It had some things, which will have to be looked at in a few months to fix, but at that time everything was working completely fine and still is to this day.
But this place told me different things. They made me think that my car is in a very bad condition and that this car should not be on the road at all. It was my first time coming here and I think because they saw that I am young driver as well they decided to rip money from me. They told me that basically I need to fix everything underneath including "leak from automatic gearbox". I clearly can say that I never saw any drops in color red or brown (oil color for gearboxes) underneath my car after moving out of the parking spot. The only thing I saw was A/C liquid, which is water and which is completely fine. So these "professional" guys do not know difference between oil and water? My mechanic said that my gearbox is completely fine and there are no leaks at all. We had a look at it together. Not to mention other problems they pointed out during their "inspection" which were not problems at all or might need to have a look at them in a few months. Additionally, when they came back with my car they said that they could not have a look what's happening around my engine (thank god I did not need to hear all the lies they would have been able tell me), because the handle was broken. I have opened it few times before I came to this place and everything was completely fine. When I came back to my car, I saw handle dropped on the floor and broken. They broke front bonnet opening handle and did not take any responsibility for that.
I can keep going with stuff they told me they need to change, which are not required to, but in the end they called me to say that to fix everything is almost $4000. As I understood it is only for parts. Highly not recommending coming here for pink slip, because getting a pink slip here is impossible.
Afterwards, I heard some people saying to me that they like to do that, especially to young drivers, because they think young drivers don't know stuff about their cars. Unfortunately for them, I knew my car very well.

I don't want to be in touch and discuss my experience. I wrote it there. I am not sure what kind of "high" standards you are implementing, but I can clearly say that these standards were not met with telling me that my gearbox is leaking, when it is not, and not taking any responsibility for braking the handle. If I did not have a look at gearbox later and decided to fix it at this place I would have paid money for nothing in the same way as I would have to pay for replacing the handle when it was not my fault. Guy came to me and straight told me that the front bonnet does not open, when I knew it clearly does and finding that handle dropped on the floor gave me conclusion that I will never step to this place anymore.

Jason and his team have been looking after the servicing of our families' cars for the last 10 years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Exceptional work, fair prices and great communication. We have never had to return to have something rectified following a service. It's always done right and done first time - exactly what you expect from a workshop. Brilliant!

My friend raved about Bridgestone Select Forestville and recommended I try them. I had my car serviced yesterday and now I'm a raving advocate! Jason & his team were outstanding in every way; customer service, professional, extremely knowledgable, friendly, great communicators and 100% honest - I didn't feel ripped off at all, like I have elsewhere. And the invoice was well under what I expected it to be!

The team at Forestville have a really Professional service. They are down to earth people, really organised and friendly. Won’t go anywhere else but here in the future.

I don't usually write reviews but in this case I'm more than happy to. Recently I noticed a shuddering in my much loved 2005 Subaru Outback. My mechanic of 20 years couldn't diagnose the problem nor my brothers mechanic who is regarded as one of the best in Sydney. I had now spent around $1500 with no solution. A workmate suggested talking to Jason at Bridgestone Select Forestville. Long story short, his Subaru mechanic diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes and the repairs were completed the next day. I trust these guys with both my cars now as do a number of friends and family.
If you're looking for a top mechanic I can't recommend Jason and the guys highly enough. Thanks and well done!

Just found my 4wd tire had a nail in it that caused pressure drop. Went to Forestvile Bridgestone for help. They repaired it straight away although they had been extremely busy today before Easter. Big thanks!

A big thank you to the very helpful team at Bridgestone who have always gone above and beyond with customer service. Took car in this morning with a seat belt issue (which I thought needed a part being ordered), to be told within 5 minutes was all fixed and no charge! What service! Thank you team Bridgestone!

They have Subaru and 4wd Specialist in house. Lads do a great job and are transparent with cost and issues. Reasonable prices and great service. Highly recommended, been going here for 5 years

I had my carnival front tyres replaced at the shop 2 weeks ago. The crew was very efficient and i was in and out very quickly. Because of such good expereince, i took my prado in today for a pink slip. No drama and no frill and a quick turn around again.quite pleasant experience.

Came out of work to find a flat tyre. I mean dead flat. I was outside Bridgestone using my compressor to pump it back up when the guys from Bridgestone Forestville said to bring it in.
They took wheel off, located the source of the issue, fixed it, explained to me how it may have occurred and what they did to resolve it.
When I went in to pay, they said there was no charge. Can not rate these guys highly enough. Need more than 5 stars!

Great bunch of guys, honest & reasonably priced! Brought our car in unannounced after a poor experience at another mechanic across the road and Jason & the team couldn't have been more helpful. Had the car back on the road within days even though major works were required and we had no booking. Will be taking all our cars here from now on!

Came straight to Bridgestone Tyre & Auto Forestville when I got a flat tyre. They assessed all my tyres and told me my options. Jason was honest, but didn't try to sell me the most expensive product. He educated me in pros and cons for all options and left the decision to me. He ordered my tyres there and then, made sure my car was safe to get me home and within 24 hours my car had 4 new sparkling clean tyres. Highly recommend these guys. Will be getting my car serviced there next time!
