I have done 7 of Brett Wood's workshops now. I have learnt so much from him & also Lisa Milne who has now joins his trips. We get taken to out of the norm touristy places, see amazing landscapes, have great fun, eat great food & get unreal one on one tutorial time with both of them. I can highly recommend these workshops. I can't wait to do my next one in 2024.

Another great workshop from Brett and Lisa. So valuable being part of a workshop run by people who know the location and ensure fabulous shooting opportunities time after time even when the NZ weather conditions can be a challenge. Another great workshop from Brett Wood and well supported by Andrew Code from NiSi. Clear concise content pitched in easy to understand manner. I had a wonderful long exposure workshop, learning about NiSi filters and how I could use them to my advantage. Brett and Lisa were wonderful hosts providing a comfortable learning environment as well as fantastic shoot locations. Would not hesitate to recommend Brett’s workshops, I will be back.

I had a great time on the Nisi workshop with Brett, Lisa and their team. I have learnt some great new things and came away with some amazing photos. They are patient and knowledgeable. Lakes and Lupins November 2022. My husband and I recently completed our first workshop with Brett & Lisa and loved every single minute of it. Their laid back and stress free approach made us feel so comfortable from the word go. Being only amateurs this workshop has taken our photography to the next level, what we both learnt was invaluable. The passion Brett and Lisa have for photography certainly shone through in their teachings.
It was great to go off the beaten track where there was plenty of photographic opportunities without crowds.
If you are thinking about doing one of Brett’s workshops, just do it as you will not bit disappointed, we highly recommend it.

This has been my first experience doing, a workshop with a professional, such as Brett Wood. Brett made us feel comfortable from the onset and was sincere with his mission to assist others in experiencing, not just the technicalities of photography but the mind space of each of us, to improve our spiritual journeys of our lives through photography. The places that Brett took us was indeed special. Brett and Lisa's duty of care was paramount and they made sure that we all had the proper advise on advance photographic techniques. Accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. The choices of restaurants were special and I did not have one bad meal. I fact, I raved on to friends back home, on the high quality of food choices. Two weeks on, and I am still on a high of such a delightful experience. I would highly recommend Brett and will look forward to our next adventure together.

This is an overdue review for the Print and shoot workshop I did in Sept 2022. It was my 1st workshop with Brett and Lisa and I am looking forward to doing future workshops. Highly recommend this workshop. Each day was another opportunity to learn about composition, importance of taking my time to set up a photo, lighting, exposure, trying different angles and once set up take photos to capture that ever changing light with sunrises and sunsets. I was given lots of helpful input and explanation for reason why a particular shot world work. All the locations were just superb. Incredible scenery to enjoy in the moment and of course capturing awesome photos. Great accommodation and choice of places to eat. Thanks Brett and Lisa for your time and valuable input.

This was our first Photography Workshop in NZ and our retirement treat. We were so excited and Brett Wood’s workshop exceeded all our expectations. What I loved is that we didn’t have to think about anything. Just get up and transported to great locations, with Brett and Lisa always there to assist, so much food and great accommodation. An extra bonus was our group that all met for the first time just got on so well along with Brett and Lisa - like a bunch of friends catching up. Wonderful winter landscape photography workshop experience. Brett always did his best to not only get you to the best locations for the conditions, but also help with composition ideas when the weather conditions made it challenging, so that everyone was able to achieve some great photos. He was always happy to help with equipment recommendations and problem solving.
Oh and the food available was wonderful!

Location, food, instruction, accomodation, creative and encouraging. Seriously, there’s no stone unturned with Brett’s workshops, they will take your photography to the next level in a fun, easy and comprehendible way.

The locations are unique and void of the usual tourist spots. With limited participants the workshops give you enough time one on one to learn from Brett, while enjoying the company of other like minded photographers.

The only negative I have is that his workshops book out fast. So if you want to be apart of an awesome photography learning experience you have to book in early.

I attended a workshop with Brett in April. Brett provided the group with great photo opportunities and made sure everyone was comfortable with use of their equipment. An indoor session on editing was also valuable. In a financial sense Brett's tour offered good value. I have booked my next tour with Brett.

Ive Been on Bretts Photography Workshops, He is a Wealth of Knowledge and have learnt so much about Filters, Long-exposures and Composition. The One on One is fantastic, When I finish the day I'm positive I have captured a good Image. Brett is Fun, Friendly and Very Knowledgeable With all Top Brand Cameras. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Brett and Lisa on the recent "Shoot to Print" workshop. Their hospitality was second to none, and their instruction on composition and settings was clear and easy to follow. I especially enjoyed the editing sessions. This is proven by the number of repeat customers at the workshop. Looking forward to seeing my print on my wall at home.

I really enjoyed Brett's workshop in Tasmania in March 2022. Brett offers a relaxed but professional style with an emphasis on achieving your photographic goals with helpful tuition, great locations, comfortable accomodation and good places to eat. The fact that 4 of the 7 people in the group were repeat clients is a testament to the value of his workshops.

Have brought a few sets of Nisi filters and a siriu tripod off Brett. He was always fantastic to deal with and was kind enough to give me a heap of free advice. You can’t go wrong when dealing with Brett

I have done quite a few photo-escapades in my time, from the large groups fighting shoulder to shoulder to get the shots, to intimate one on one tuition. I think Brett has the mix just right. 7 like minded souls of varying experience in their photographic lives joined by our guide/mentor/driver. 8 is the perfect number for a few days of escape and photography.

Not only is Brett a first rate photographer and educator, he also has a taste for good food and lodgings. Something I personally appreciated. No spartan billets and cold cans o' beans for us!

Expert tuition, good company, stunning locations. A week to warm the heart and get the creative juices flowing again. I cannot recommend Bretts tours more highly.
