Premium prices with average service. Very slow to get a couple of cups of coffee and they were not worth the wait sadly.

Favourite cafe in gong! Best coffee and food.toasties are top tier and are definitely a must try!

Smart looking place, lovely outdoor seating and great for the neighborhood but a few things left to be desired…

But first the good, the food is excellent. In particular, the croissants and the inspired sweet choices such as the passionfruit curd on a cherry walnut sourdough. Wonderfully refreshing and elegant. Unique flavours and well-executed.

Unfortunately, the coffee is not up to par with the food. I have visited multiple times, tried different drinks (flat whites, piccolos, cold brew). The espresso has yet to be dialed in, very weak, watery and/or milky and the cold brew is rather stale. The accompanying lemon slice is appreciated but adding an acid to the malty, chocolatey profile beans used for the cold brew seems an ill considered choice.

Second, the water jugs and cups are disgusting. The tap water in the jugs is full of debris and solids, tastes like it hasn’t been changed regularly and the cups are very dirty, I wouldn’t touch it. It is a huge shame as I do enjoy visiting for a quick breakfast or extended lunch but simply do not even have water to drink.

And finally, the young staff are fantastic; attentive and friendly with a welcoming smile. I am very much looking forward to the drinks being up to snuff with the rest of this lovely establishment.

I've been looking for a new coffee place and I think I have found it.firstly, the location is not the best place to get to if it's university season as traffic is crazy. Otherwise, it's not too bad.

Food, I can not comment on this as I didn't order any. However, the pastries looked AMAZING, and I have heard good things.

Staff, they all seemed fairly friendly and happy. They were not really up for a chat, but not everyone is.

The Coffee, well, it was HOT and STRONG, just how I like it.

I'll definitely be back.

Side note: they don't accept cash, card only.

My first time at the Gwynneville cafe on Sunday and absolutely loved it! I had the mushrooms on sourdough with my fav strong flat white.and everything was perfect. The staff are really friendly and the vibe is super chilled. Can't wait till my next visit.
