Delicious vegan food! We stocked up on a variety of 12 frozen meals for our hotel stay in Sydney. We will definitely order again for our next stay. We highly recommend

I had non-chicken Hainan rice and toomuchroom with caramel cashew nut coconut milk, my bf had soy pork burger was filling and very tasty.

Brainwave is fantastic, fresh flavourful cooking, so many options and decent value. Perfect lunch spot if in the area.

Amazing food! Went here with my husband and tried the satay skewers, sweet and sour pork and the summer burger cannot fault the food it was all really good. I Recommend trying the satay skewers they were amazing! Will definitely be back.

Walked inside, told it was too busy upstairs to sit outside. Took menus and sat for 15 minutes before getting up and ordering at the counter. We received our food with missing items. While watching the tables next to us get table service straight away and their dishes after us not missing the items we were missing in our dishes.

We don’t mind sitting outside or ordering at the counter, just disappointed in being completely ignored.
Plus seeing the same dishes next to us made right and not missing the items we were.

The location is rather compact but it has enough tables to relax with your friends and have a snack and coffee. If you look at the menu you might see that almost everything is vegan and so there were vegan burgers, with many other varieties of food. There were also drinks. After the ordering process, we did have to wait a bit but it wasn’t long, really. Anyways, the food tasted great as usual and staff being kind without any abusive behaviour or problems with the food. Overall, everything was great and I would visit again.

We went here for lunch on my husbands birthday. The food was super delicious as well as the smoothies. The service was really quick and employees were friendly. Definitely going back!

After reading thèse good reviews, decide to get a healthy dinner there. Thé staff recommended the eggplants & tofu for main. The price is over valué with only 3 slices of tofu, deep Fried battered eggplants.the food is full of oil, my body does not go well with unhealthy food. I felt like it was a poor choice for ´healthy’ dinner- end up eating oil, and way too expensive for a chineuse restaurant. Dont recommend going for dinner, service can be super slow at thé counter: (

Got a wrap and chips with “pork” I love trying to support small business especially vegan but this is day ruiner. No taste. Bland as. Expensive.

Brainwave is one of my favorite places in Ultimo! They put a creative, thoughtful, and vegan twist on classic dishes and it always delivers. The staff is friendly and the service is great. It is cute and not at all pretentious (like many other vegan places). Vegan or not, try this place for wonderful food and service.:) We will return again and again!

Pleasant atmosphere, very good food (tho lacking in vegetables, but definitely not flavour), and available powerpoints! Lovely place for lunch!

Hidden beauty at the side of UTS city
Salad: Vegetable Tempura in Thai Seasoning
A perfect combination of Western style and Asian style. The freshness tells all. Just fresh. That’s it, that’s salad, a plain luxury. Thai seasoning suits us all.
Main: Japanese Mixed Warm Rice
A perfect creation of sushi rice, quinoa, black rice and purple kombu slice. Sticky and abundant. Crunching beetroot, plain kombu slice, cosy chestnut, covered by thin seaweed slice, thus create an excellent combination. The normal edamame, has been used to strike a color on top, what an imagination. Seaweed slice is thin and not salty at well. Way better than those bought in pack from the market. Shiitake mushroom at the bottom of bowl bring out another colour to this dish. My taste was light, for me, the mushroom seems bit over. For someone who has a stronger taste, they will put their hands together for the mushroom.
Vegan fish with vegan Tartar, $2 for another dish! Vegan tartar did not have such a strong taste of normal tartar. Just right for the vegan fish. Suggest serve the Vegan fish, vegan Tartar separately with the rice bowl.
Volume of these two dishes are enough for two people.
There are four dishes that the shop can make it frozen dishes. Delivery to Sydney metro wide, do not know if they taste the same after warm them at home.

色拉： Vegetable Tempura in Thai Seasoning
西式和亚式的完美结合， 所有的菜都非常新鲜。新鲜就可以，色拉本该如此。Vegan 本该如此。 平平淡淡的的奢华。不辣的泰式蘸酱, 适合每个人。
主菜： Japanese Mixed Warm Rice
寿司米，藜麦，血糯米和紫昆布丝煮出了这一碗，非常糯， 混有清爽甜菜根，紫昆布的平，栗子的厚实，包上薄薄脆的紫菜片，这一切完美融合。平常的毛豆，被用来点彩，真是匠心独具。紫菜片完全不咸，用来配菜恰到好处，远远胜过市场上可以现买的紫菜片零食，统统太咸。吃到碗底，些许椎茸菇，又再次点彩。本人口味比较淡，用香菇好像有些过，菇香好像不是很配合这碗饭，还好吃到碗底才有。口味重的人恐怕要举手赞扬香菇的介入。
素鱼一点也不腥，蘸上素塔塔酱，用2元钱又添一道素鱼菜，素塔塔酱不冲，没有荤的塔塔酱那么冲，配素鱼是正好。建议把素鱼, 塔塔酱和饭分开碗装，这样效果更好。
主菜和色拉都分量足，这些够两人吃。
这家店还有四种菜可以买速冻的回家吃，悉尼全城送，因为没有吃过，不知口味是否和堂吃一样？

Amazing vegan food that is so well disguised and packed full of flavour. Even for the non-vegans like myself.

This place is a hidden vegan gem near UTS! By chance we stumbled upon this cafe, got the vegan duck and the chiang mi burger- they were both delicious, especially the burger- and also had Thai milk tea which was a really lovely addition as it's mostly offered with dairy in other restaurants, but here we had the options of oat, soy, coconut or almond milks! Reasonably priced too, will definitely be back very soon to try out the other offerings on the menu x

Very good vegan food with friendly staff. I myself am not vegan however me and my girlfriend visited here for a change. I was blown away by how tasty the food was, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for vegan food or even those just looking for something different.

This place has flown under the radar and I have no idea why. They have a childhood favourite Hainan chicken rice, vegan style. I had to have it.

It was valiant. The poached chicken was the hardest to pull off but they kinda did it. They're was a tender white piece of breast with what appeared to be some chicken skin on top. The creativity was immense.

The rice was gingery with the cucumber, thinly sliced tomato and sauces. Sure it really couldn't replace the OG but it was pretty good rendition of what was pretty impossible.

Other mentions was done char Siew bbq pork with some chips which I thought was odd but it was tasty.

Great job overall. Will try to make it in to the shop.

Came here for both lunch and dinner on the same day. Delicious vegan food so close to Central station. Love the Asian twist on a burger, and the Lychee blueberry smoothie was the best thing I've ever tasted.
