We had a fantastic time at Bowral Beekeeping! Hamish is so knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. We loved tasting the different honeys and getting in close to the bees. Loved every part of this experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out, or if you’re wanting to pursue beekeeping, or even anyone that wants to face their fears of bees!

Wow, what an experience! If I could give it more stars, I would! First of all, the honey tasting and learning about the hive was so interesting. Hamish’s knowledge and his way of sharing/educating is super engaging and fun. We inspected a hive up close and personal with the stars of the show, and we were completely enthralled at witnessing their magic and how the bees work. 10/10 thank you Hamish

What a mesmerising and somehow therapeutic experience this is! My 13 yr old and I were completely enthralled with Hamish's enthusiasm and knowledge of these wonderful little creatures. We learned of the incredibly fascinating life story of bees, and Hamish tells this story with a passion!
We also got to taste different local honey samples, and then beeing safely protected in our beekeeper suits, actually handle the bees in the hives, and see them at work. A literal hive of activity! What a wonderful morning of discovery. Thank you so much!

Hamish is very passionate about bees and loves to teach newbie bee keepers the tricks of the trade - Hamish helped us split our hive and re queen with a new queen he is always on hand at the end of the phone for advice nothing is too much trouble for him. A1 help and service from him always.

Hamish was so well versed with the knowledge about anything and everything bees! With such a great set up it was easily accessible, top quality honey, scones and safety equipment!

The honey tasting is incredible!
We got to understand the maintenance and the responsibility of looking after this amazing creatures, we put some cool gear on and got to take a really closer look at the bee hives. Awesome! Safe for pregnant ladies as I have done it fine:)

An awesome activity in Bowral! We loved every minute of it thanks to Hamish's storytelling and passion for his bees. We learnt a lot about bees, tasted delicious honey and even got treated with nice food. Highly recommend this activity!

Attended The Bowral Bee Keeping Training led by Hamish. It was such a knowledgeable experience as Hamish shared his passion with us. Our group size of 6 allowed plenty of interaction and we will now take the next step on our Bee Keeping Journey.

What a great experience! Booked for my partner's birthday and did not disappoint - tailored and personal to our small group with the opportunity to ask any questions we could think of. Hamish is an awesome host who is clearly passionate and has sunk in so much time and effort to perfect his experience. We've gone from knowing absolutely nothing to 'bee-ing' inclined to take up a new hobby - we'll be back for sure!

Hamish has such a huge enthusiasm and love for bee keeping that you can not help begin to share that enthusiasm. We learnt so much about bees, the hive and their lifecycle, but in fun and relaxed way. Trying the different tastes of honey on some delicious scones was great! Also, the experience being that close to the hives was incredible. Would highly recommend!

Hamish was very engaging and knowledgeable in his field of speciality.we have learnt alot of interesting things about beekeeping. From the start of harvest, bees behavior and tasting of honey, the experience was very fun and educational. We strongly recommend first timers to go for his tour and experience the process of beekeeping and honey harvesting.

I contacted Bowral Beekeeping as I am just getting started with my own hive and was in need of an introduction/training. Being in Sydney during the covid lockdowns, I couldn't get to Bowral but the business was flexible and conducted training over video call which was a huge bonus for me. Hamish was fantastic and took me through a very informative and engaging training session that taught me much and made me even more excited for my journey into the world of bees!
