Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba

No problem giving this club 10 out of ten. Great meal great service & courteous staff. Had game of tenpin bowling so much fun! Cheers!

No atmosphere, food was absolutely horrible and over priced. The restaurant area looks like a hospital cafeteria. Very disappointed. The only positive the staff were all friendly And the activities for the kids was good. But the food and atmosphere just killed it.

There are new owners in the bistro. My husband and I shared a "small pizza". It was very nice, and very generous. I'm glad we didn't go large.we had enough to take home. Prompt service, despite it being very busy. We haven't tried any other meals there yet.

Had dinner here last night. It was a Monday, so there was little else on offer in town. My husband had a chicken breast with Yamba prawns, and I had the seafood crepe in a cheese sauce. Unfortunately they forgot to put the cheese into the cheese sauce in my meal. It was an unappetising, bland and watery meal, with a total of one prawn strategically placed on top. The chicken dish was also bland, and both meals were served with overcooked chips although the salad at least was fresh. It wouldn’t have been difficult to have fixed this issue, with a bit of taste-testing and tweaking.

The ‘Covid’ warnings seemingly everywhere in the club are very out of date - I was surprised to see this still actively promoted when many of us are aware that all of these measures were found to be meaningless and of little use. I’m giving two stars here, only because the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Gone down hill.

Prawn cutlets —- Prawns were previously butterflied and de-vained. Now they are deep fried with the vein in.

Prawn salad —— Prawn salad looked great but the Avocado was out of a tube. The cooked prawns were tasteless. But at least we’re de-vained. Maybe they were farmed.

Definitely not what it was. 100% use to be the best prawns in yamba.

What a joke, my wife and I on her birthday looked up the menu on line for dinner.
We were both happy with the result, my wife picked the special of chicken advacado and prawns. We had a couple of drinks then went for dinner. Staff were cleaning tables for what reason I have no idea as were first in. They had a pathetic substitute menu which the staff did not why. Four crumbed meals one steak two burgers and a couple of pasta's plus three Pizza. We ordered and the chef was there, my wife said the menu was not near what was offered on line. His reply was We got hammered last night so had to change. He also said there was plenty of other places to go. Chicken, avocado and prawns, what would you run out of. Get real and serve quality stop making excuses. Pathetic

We spent the weekend at the Rotary Conference at The Bowlo - everyone was Super Helpful - nothing was too much trouble! After the Conference we returned there for Sunday night dinner (not much else was open!) and we had yet another great meal and service! Enjoyed their discount from staying at the great Aston Motel next door!

Lovely little club and the nacho are to die for and all the other great things on the menu.

We were very impressed with the food tonight. We haven't eaten in the Bistro for more then 18 months, due to bad experiences. However, our group of 18 were very happy with their meals.

Love the club but the food is disgusting, first night terrible so tried again when not so busy but still terrible

Popped in here to grab a drink and charge our phones, everyone was so friendly. Ended up staying for dinner because of the excellent service. Will be back for sure!

We booked a table for 11 a few weeks ago for 5pm. After having a drink in the sports bar (which was wonderful) we then went to see the maître d’ to go to our table. We were not greeted with a hello, told that we had to order within 5 minutes as our table had been double booked (with no apology offered) and told we had to leave within an hour and a half. We were made to feel like it was our fault and treated very rudely. As visitors to the area this was very disappointing. The table next to us, who were locals, were given the same treatment. The food portions were great however, one of us (who is vegan) ordered a “vege stack” but this was put through as a risotto and again, when questioned we were made to feel as though it was our fault and only reluctantly offered to rectify the issue. Really disappointing after we’d experienced great service elsewhere in the club.

Great for the kids, cheap drinks, cocktail bar and reasonable food something for the whole family to enjoy

What a great Club, friendly staff and great food. The prawn cutlets were large and freshly made and tasted great and the spaghetti marinara was the best I have tasted in a long time.
Check the size of the pizza before ordering, you will be surprised at the sizes when it comes out

Had tea here and ordered the seafood crepe for 32.00
Crepe was missing the mornay sauce which it was supposed to have and was inedible
Showed the waitress and since I'm a chef by trade I happen to know what it is supposed to be
No response no offer to fix it so don't order the seafood crepe here as it is just marinara mix tossed in a crepe with cheese on top

Yamba Bowlo is a great club with Activities for the kids, restaurant with good meals, bars TAB and more. A family friendly club with a courtesy bus to pick you up and take you home. Can't ask for more than that.

Sunday night had to wait cause people had booked although there was always plenty of spare table's

Great facility! From cuisines aplenty to tenpin bowling and kids playgrounds, all in a stylishly attired clean facility perfect for family activity and dining.

The staff were extremely rude to us (rolling eyes, snarky comments, etc) and our food wasn’t probably cooked. But the way the duty manger handle the situation and helped us out so the our experience could be better was extremely good.

The meal was AMAZING! The best Nachos ever and hubby loved his Pork steak!
Just have to giggle though …. Booked online @ 6.45pm and booking asks you to arrive 15 mins early. We arrived 10 mins early as asked to come back in 10 mins as they were “under the pump”! There were only a third (if that) of tables seated and all small groups. We went back to the sports bar for 7 minutes and returned and greeted (by the same lady) like we hadn’t been here before lol!
