Highly recommend Bow Wow Meow Pet Insurance! Our dog unfortunately was bitten by another dog and needed stitches under general anaesthetic. Having pet insurance made the decision-making process a lot easier as the vast majority of the cost was covered. The claims process was also very smooth as it was approved at the vet clinic and we didn't have to pay an excess.

Making a claim is very easy online. I receive emails on the status of the claim until it is paid. I do pay top cover for my pooch so we do usually receive acceptable benefits. Highly recommend bow wow meow pet insurance for your pets.

This claim was initially not put through. I then had to call the vet so they could speak to the insurer for it to be sorted. It eventually was put through after many phonecalls.
Prior to taking our dog to a completely separate consult, I thought I'd call BWM first just in case to check the consultation was indeed covered (we have Emergency Cover but our Insurance Certificate reads, "Consulations" as part of the coverage). I was told that it wasn't covered as the consultation only pertains to "emergencies". This however is not stipulated in the certificate. I was put off by those last two encounters and am now look at changing insurers.

My poor dog got suddenly unwell and had to be put down within 24 hours. It was devastating and shocking for the whole family. Plus the bill was over 5 K. I had been with Bow Wow Meow for over 8 years and made only minor claims. I made this last claim and initially they offered to pay back only $800! I had to call them and discovered they did not check the Vet medical notes so they used a wrong diagnosis which has a $1000 limit cover. It was not nice having to go through this when we had just lost our dog. However, the Customer Service person was extremely helpful and calm. They helped me sort it out and escalated the claim to their Vet team. I was refunded the right amount the following day! Overall I found them quite professional and humane. Thank you Bow Wow Meow

Recently, our dog has been experiencing persistent bloody diarrhea and vomiting, and has been taken to the pet hospital three times in the past week. No issues both Hugo and Bella are insured though them I am glad they finally added a online payment portal I wish they would keep there call centre in Australia instead of overseas it’s a pain to wait to speak to someone in Australia
