These people should not be in business. To be honest I don't know how they still are.
Completely unprofessional and incompetent.
Took them 2 months and about 10 phones to lodge a tax return. Also had to audacity to overcharge. Save yourself a lot of wasted time and go ANYWHERE else.

Changing over to Bottrell Business Consultants from our previous accountant was a seamless transition. Rebecca & Jayden helped us regain control & motivated us to do better & be better. I have never left a review for a company online before but I want to warn other people do they do not have to deal with the drama I have encountered. If I could give them no stars I would. Absolutely appalling service, an expensive fee to do a tax return and nothing even gets lodged with the ATO for weeks, I called the tax office multiple times to be told I had not submitted anything and then after 17 days finally it was submitted to them and still now 5 weeks since I saw Stephen at the Maitland branch I have still not received my tax return. Also my fiancé's return was less than half the "estimated" return we were told the lowest he has ever received and the information was changed without his knowledge prior to it being submitted. Impossible to get in contact with the branch both via phone calls and emails. Even the owner Gavin has not been helpful or responsive with the issues and even weeks after contacting him I have got no response on the matter. We wanted to support local business this year for tax time and will never be going back to Bottrell Accountants, I wish I read the negative reviews before going to them as it seems we have not been the only ones to experience this dismal service. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY.

Before tax time this year I decided to transition from a sole trader to company and was told this would only take a couple of weeks. During this set up of the company I had to constantly chase it up which took a lot longer then stated. I was also told that I would be given some information about the company e.g. How to pay myself etc. After numerous times chasing this information and being completely ignored it is now nearly November (4 months later) and I will be going else where for the required information. They are quick to get you to spend but fail to follow through with anything.

I cannot recommend this firm to anyone they are impossible to get a hold of and ignore every call. They promise you so much and they do not deliver. Also very rude owners, I would not trust them with any business so unprofessional and treat their staff poorly

Had a terrible experience with one of their senior consultants - very unprofessional and unresponsive, but thanks to Gavin and Rebecca's commitment, I managed to sort the issues. In the midst of a very busy tax period, Rebecca took time to meet me, apologize on behalf of their staff and organised my tax return - but, wait, it wasn't over! It took several more painful phone calls to get them to lodge the TR. The experience was so unprofessional that they admitted it and offered to not charge me for it - rightly so, hence, giving 2-stars. It seems they are more focused on business tax returns, and have no time for individuals.
