Books Kinokuniya reviews
70Always love Kinokuniya in whichever country I'm in. You can find a lot of variety of books in here. From fiction to non-fiction, fantasy, best seller, self development books, and many more. The staff are very helpful as well. Thank you!
Super busy even on Friday. Just scrolling around is a good experience. You can find many multilingual books around. Highly recommended.
Got two books from this place. Staff is quite helpful if you reach out. Only thing I would have loved is for them to have price matched with online stores.
This place is always the best and a treat to come here. Best actual book store in the city. An abundance of books, a broad range of genres for all ages/ interests, international sections, novelties, toys, gifts, and too many other products to name. Large children's section and manga are popular here. Walking around and browsing is an experience itself. If you are yet to find this place, once you do, you will be a return customer. Always well staffed and has an in-house cafe. A+.
Excellent bookshop and relax place to chill out and browse titles. There is cafeteria inside, usually it’s busy specially at lunch or weekends. Avoid last minute Christmas shopping if you can.
One of my favourite bookstores in Sydney, Kinokuniya has a huge selection of books, stationary, gifts and comics - very highest recommendation.
Do not recommend this store at all!
Do not take kids to this store or support this store!
Best bookstore in Sydney. They've got an eclectic selection plus a specialised area for Japanese and Chinese language books. Their graphic novel section both Japanese and Western is a personal highlight.
They stock both best-sellers and classics. Always worth a browse through the new books category in the front. There is a Japanese stationery store within and a cafe/cake shop in front.
This place is insane it’s like mini Japan in Sydney I love it. Pls don’t read my hero academia it’s kinda wack. (Recommend Tokyo ghoul or promised never land)
Very good books about art science languages culture fiction nonfiction photography typeface architecture movies tv anime and comics. It only lost one star because im severly dyslexic and cant read them.
Amazing variety of books! There's loads of comics and manga. I was able to pick up some art books that were hard to find!
Had to cancel an order with another seller who kept delaying my books, ordered them from here instead and they show up within the fortnight, all while Sydney is in the midst of locking down and closing down retail. Unfortunately didn't receive a shipping email (probably because of the retail closure) so it was a big surprise when they showed up. Awesome work!
Online shopping took over TWO weeks for delivery! The store is in Sydney, I’m living in Sydney, all the books I wanted were in stock, it’s absolutely STUPID if it takes such a long time!
The only place that I can get Japanese books and stationary in Sydney physically. Good customer service as well as I can request book pre-order. Member gets 10% off which I think is a pretty good deal if you buy a lot of books.
I really love this book store - its one of a kind in Sydney and has so much to offer. I always enjoy spending my time browsing the store and is a go to spot in CBD.
Huge range of book selections, cook books and art/ design books are lots to choose from. Just the membership program is a bit unreasonable, you have to paid $15 per year to keep the membership, and only receive 10% off for each purchase. But overall, its a good bookshop that you can kill time with, spend half a day there could be not enough.
Another 5 star review likely wont matter, but in the COVID absence, my heart grew fonder. I miss my Friday routine of coming into town and Kinokuniya. My online purchase is going to mean a lot! Thankyou so much.
Aladdin's cave of books. I could spend all day browsing. Have found and bought several hard to get books, including foreign language editions.
I love this bookstore. It has something for everyone. Comics, magazines, books on every topic and load of other collectables and you could spend hours
Ahh! I love a big book store and this one had everything! Even the comic and manga sections are huge. I could have spent all day in there and all of my money They also have a little coffee spot so that you can have a rest with your new books! Have a look at their selection of very cute little desserts to top it off!
