I went to bondi hair on a whim as I just needed a very simple cut so I didn’t think it mattered where I went for it. They could see me straight away which probably should of been a red flag but I didn’t over think it. It was a male stylist ‘eddy’. I asked him to just cut the very back of my hair as it was sticking out. I shaved my hair off a few months ago to regrow it after years of damage. I told him this and kept repeating to him just the very back of my hair where it sticks out. He then caped me and started chipping away. He was chatting to me non stop about his personal life and asking me questions about mine. I felt uncomfortable and was trying to find a moment to ask what he was doing as I only wanted a quick cut. By the end I saw thinning shears full of hair in his hand. I asked why he had thinned my hair as I didn’t agree to him doing this. He just said he only thinned a bit of the back. I was speechless and honestly after all the hair mishaps I’ve had over the years I just felt numb and couldn’t believe someone had ruined my hair again after doing what should of been the worlds easiest haircut. Then to put salt in the wound, as I got up to leave he hugged me which was awkward and in my opinion inappropriate for an older male stylist to do to a young girl especially one that he has just met. I emailed the salon to let them know what happened and maybe give them a chance to explain or apologise but I got no response. Just avoid this place!

It seems i was very lucky to stop at Bondi hair, i walked in with a big mess of curly hair, and walked out with a tamed mop and a big smile, Andrea was amazing and the entire staff were helpful, couldn’t recommend more.

I cannot believe I decided to go to this hair salon, even after my bad experiences I’ve had with it before. You’ll never get what you asked for, they cut your bangs far too short and the way they work is inefficient and unnecessary. Not to mention how their services are extremely overpriced and slow. I once asked them to cut my bangs just below my eyebrow and instead of getting what i asked for, I got bangs way above my eyebrow and a bob cut I did not asked for. Now my hair is jaggedy and fans out weirdly because of the haircut I got here. I definitely recommend going to a different salon.

The girls stayed an hour after closing to make sure my hair looks amazing. Best service and hair quality treatment! Absolutely in love with my hair

Dishonest business, advertising at entry said blow dry $50.00 however when paying I was charged $60.00 when I queried it the manager told me it was from $50.00 when I pointed out that the sign did not say from sue then said oh it’s for new customers only! I am disgusted at the dishonesty, and to add to that the blow dry was horrid. I would avoid this business!

The business owner (that doesn’t like to be called middle-aged) has replied below as you can see. After accidentally admitting it was the salons mistake. She is desperate to change the narrative. As a business, you cannot take somebody’s money and not deliver the service. The owner of this business takes advantage of women using textbook manipulation tactics. Repeatedly guilt tripping and gaslighting my friend. Calling me a bully for standing up for my friend that asked me to be there is a really funny concept. Still insisting that she was “more than happy with the result”, is completely false. You constantly put her down for speaking up and told her it’s her fault. You are the bully. Truly slimy, gross, manipulative behaviour. Reporting me to security is also hilarious considering there were was no violence, or any threats of violence. I never said anything rude or derogatory. I let you speak but you interrupted me constantly. I left immediately when asked to. It’s astonishing how the owner can see themself as the victim here. I wonder why all the other salons are at least 4.4 stars… The fact you respond and take zero accountability, knowing this has happened to tons of other clients, shows exactly the type of person you are. If anybody doubts me, please look at how many one star reviews this salon has.

I received a haircut and it was an amazing haircut, I loved it. But. I have never been more uncomfortable during a haircut. The older man who cut my hair was incredibly creepy and kept asking me if I was “naughty” after I said I did not need a style because I was going to get my hair dirty because I was heading to the gym later. I was so uncomfortable he continuously discussed how naughty I was I just awkwardly laughed the whole time, uncomfortable, surrounding workers did hear I believe but did not comment. Keep in mind I am a minor. I am happy with my haircut but I am so uncomfortable. He made comments about how the world needs naughtiness because the world “has gotten too politically correct” since covid. He also seemed to be under the influence of something and not sober. While he was nice, he was so creepy and I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Genuinely upset and not sure how staff could of ignored his behaviour as a 45 year old+ man speaking to a teenage girl.

Went in with greenish brown hair and they completely transformed my hair to a beautiful dark brown with amazing clip in extensions! So happy couldn’t ask for better

I strongly advise you find a different salon. Staff are manipulative and rude. You won’t get what you asked for. You’ll be gaslit, guilt tripped, and blamed for the stylist’s mistake. Do yourself a favour and look at the numerous other reviews that demonstrate a pattern of malpractice. Take your money elsewhere. They charged $300 for platinum blonde hair and this was the result. An additional $55 charged for a shampoo and blow dry that wasn’t requested. The owner (short middle aged woman with short brown hair) was dreadful and condescending. She said she would fire the original stylist named Bridget for messing up the hair as a way to guilt trip. Bridget likely made an honest mistake and the owner refused to take any accountability and remedy the situation with a refund. This was an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience that no one should have to go through.

Staffs are really professional. They really take efforts to listen to the customers and meet their wants

I wanted to give them a good review as they were friendly and efficient but they didn't blow dry my hair properly. It was supposed to be a straight blow dry but when I came home it's already wavy. Been elsewhere for a much cheaper and better job

I am not really happy with the haircut I received at Bondi Hair. Firstly when I first walked in to ask for a haircut, I asked the lady how much it was she said $50 then another worker that was doing my hair was asking if I wanted a blow dry, I said does it come with the haircut she said no. I said how much with a blow dry she said $60 and haircut $55. Firstly, they are a rip off, they might charge you extra just be aware and be smart. Also a blow dry is not included in a haircut? That’s a rip-off literally it’s not hard to give a blow dry for free included with the haircut. Secondly, the lady is very rude, I was sitting at a wrong chair and she knocks on the clear window between the two chairs and tells me to sit at the other one, very unprofessional and plain rude. Thirdly, I was worried about my hair the whole time I was receiving the haircut, she didn’t even part my hair straight in the middle ‍️ I literally had to do it myself- from the start I knew it was gonna be bad. She was just cutting my hair very messily and didn’t ensure it was all level. After my haircut, i looked at my hair and I can already see one side is shorter than the other. I might have to cut alittle myself. I might have to actually get a better haircut, because it’s very bad. I do no recommend. I will never come back here, rip off and I don’t like my haircut, I need to pay for another one elsewhere who can actually cut hair.

Great experience and professional atmosphere. Amazing results, very happy! I had my Highlights done here and now I would not go anywhere else. They know exactly what they are doing. Colour is perfect, I’m so happy.
