Bondi Beach Backpackers

Fabulous location and super social hostel. Found it to be a great first stay here in Aus as a solo traveller.

In 2 months travelling Australia, this the best hostel I've been to. I had a problem with my card before arrival and Rich was very friendly and helpful in resolving this, he saved me from a night on the beach!
The facilities are excellent, with many deals, offers and information which I've never seen a hostel offer before such as DIY meals with great value. It's a minute walk from bondi beach and not too noisy at night so location is great too. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for accommodation in Sydney.

Got here after a few days in the city and ended up there for 10 months. It became my home. The people, the location, the staff, (Ronnie, Rich, John, Jon, Carla, Candice, Eddie, Poppy, Keal, Lucy.sorry for anyone i forgot) and the atmosphere made this one of the, if not the best hostel, I've stayed at.

Good location and lively. However I am deducting points because the tap is leaking, the bedroom ceiling fan is broken and there is no parking.

Enjoyed my stay in Bondi, very close to the beach and good location. Clean and sociable hostel:)

Even the owner + the staff who work there are really cool so it's just the place to go in Sydney!

Excellent location, and super easy to find! The check-in process was easy and the room was comfortable, only stayed here for one night but would definitely stay here again! As I now only live down the road from this hostel, I revisited to see if there would be any chance I’d be able to print out some CVS. Richard was super helpful and accommodating. He offered me advice on how to improve my CV making me more appealing to employers. Thank you Richard!:)

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Less than 5 minutes from Bondi Beach, plenty of restaurants/cafes etc around, rooms were clean with aircon + fans and beds were super comfy. The owner was so helpful and made check-in/check-out so easy. 5 stars, would definitely stay here again!

Had an awesome time at Bondi backpackers! Location is great, bed was super comfy, and the outdoor area is perfect for hanging out and getting to know the people on site c: would definitely stay again! Cheers Richard for your hospitality

Quite easily the best hostel I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It’s run very professionally, Richard and Lilli are friendly, engaging and will spare no expense in making you feel at home. Having stayed here for 3 weeks and had only positive experiences, I feel very sad to leave this place behind. The hostel is a bit smaller than most you’ll come across but it’s perfect for someone travelling and looking to meet new people as unless you’re sitting in your room all day, you’re going to strike up conversations with other guests. The location is perfect. Being located just off the main drag along Bondi beach you don’t really notice the constant traffic. And the best part is you can be on the beach within 2 minutes of leaving the front gate. Overall, it’s a top place and I’ll be sure to make an effort to return next time I find myself in this neck of the woods.

Awesome location in the main street of Bondi across from the beach. Clean, spacious dorm rooms with large kitchen, courtyard and common hang out areas. Surfboards to borrow, board games, laundromat, etc all in a very central hostel.

Very Bad experience, after receiving a positive Antigen test and feeling strong covid 19 symptoms, the owner tried to kick me out and said I should sleep in my car. Other guests were not informed about this covid 19 test until we threatened the owner that we will tell everybody there are cases in this hostel unless he does. The owner tried to hide an outbreak while there were children and old people in the hostel. Horrible experience and irresponsible Management in this place. Besides that, his own staff was stealing Drinks and food from guests and Screming at guests. I do not recommend this place. It is not covid safe!

The location is excellent, just 1 minute walk and you're at the famous Bondi Beach.

Guests can use range of stuff from beach related activity such as surfing board, beach umbrella and many more to bbq.

Staff was polite and always ready to help.

Overall great place to stay, you'll never be bored here, and will remember the good time spend here for life.

I really love the location of this backpackers, just right in front of the bondi beach. You just swim and walk to your room and take a shower. All the staff was so kind and they explained everything in details. Room was neat and clean. I’ve extended my stay here. If you wanna enjoy the beach during your holiday, I recommend this place for your staying.

Friendly owners, comfy and affordable. Great view, close to the beach and they offer a variety of extras.
