Very bad strata company that will go to all levels to achieve own goals, at the detriment of customers.

If you are reading this you are looking for a reference. Our years with BCS leave one conclusion – please stay away and find someone else. We have. Their Strata Managers, Mr Jean Jeon and Ms Sarah Avery, may be much loved by their families but hopeless as Managers. Their main problem is lack of knowledge of the Strata Act and failure to respond to problems in a timely manner, if at all. The other negative reviews were for a reason. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
These guys are absolutely unprofessional! Like some others that have complained they do not respond. Even their reception team thinks they are up there and can just hang up the phone when they don’t like you or don’t like dealing with anything you are requesting.
We have had to deal with them over several years, initially while my husband was EG and POA for my Mother-In-law who had a unit in a building they manage and now when he is the executor of her will the problem continues.
Their reception staff will ask for all your details so they can forward a message to the Strata Manager Julie Edwards however once they have taken the details Julie is too busy to respond and you never get a call back. When my husband was the EG for my MIL, despite several emails from us and my mother-in-law’s attorney they refused to send any documentation to my husband and when after almost a year my husband contacted a senior manager he was told that apparently despite all the documents and emails they had been receiving from us they were accidentally sending all correspondence to the wrong address! No apology offered ever just an excuse!
Whether you leave a message with their precious reception desk or email them, you are luck if they respond, forget react!
We now have a several investment properties around Sydney and I will ensure that this lot does not get management rights anywhere that we own. They probably have too much on their plate to respond or react anyway!
Very dissapointed in strata managers at this branch. They had no idea how to handle noise complaints, which I had to correct and over ride. They made no attempt to mediate over very obvious noise problems from their contract gardeners using noisy and poluting 2 stoke petrol leaf blowers for 2 hours+ every week, a massive over servicing of a property in Naremburn and a waste of corporate levy fees. After referring this problem to management, nothing improved. Avoid BCS for your unit managment. Once you select a strata manager, it is very hard to remove them.
In my dealings the staff member was rude and dismissive. I reported a strata issue. Nothing was done and subsequently my unit flooded - when I asked why my original issue was not followed up I was told ‘they get 200-300 emails a week and can’t deal with them all’. Not really what I want to hear.
Stay away from them, especially strata manager Carol Perry. It’s vicious cycle, emails, email, proofs, waist of time
Hard to get promised call backs.
Seems to be relying on Covid as a reason to not give an expected sevice level
This the worst strata managing company their aim is to act in an unethical manner in order to stay in the roll and keep making money and pursposely making confilcts between lot owners because for every dispute and email they manage they make more money. Beware of the king os unethical conduct Mike Smythe, Mike Witworth, charles Guthier, Patricia Fiorenza
In my 28 years living in this building this is by far the worst strata management I have encountered - AVOID BEWARE DANGER
BCS are not my strata managers but I have dealt with Isobel from their Chatswood branch for many years now re various work-related enquiries and she is always super helpful, friendly and very accommodating!
Jey Osmen is a professional, responsive, organised and courteous strata manager. Whenever there has been an issue and reported to Jey, he started the process to fix it swiftly.
Jennifer Lindner is our Strata Manager and conducted our AGM via video link. Jennifer was very professional and was able to move the meeting along and complete everything within the hour. Our owners have only the property in common and various personalities can be a challenge but Jennifer handled this with tact and made sure everyone was heard. Congratulations and thank you Jennifer.

I’m pleased with the Strata Management services provided by BCS Chatswood. Whenever there have been issues relating to maintenance or repairs in our block of units, Elizabeth Avery, our strata manager at Chatswood, has been able to respond and address the issues promptly and efficiently. She is professional and resolves these issues in a way that best suits the needs of the residents as well as meets the standards of Strata management.
Our strata plan has been managed by BCS Chatswood for a long time and have generally done an Ok job, particularly as it has had a few issues with it. The biggest problem has been when strata managers change and there is little continuity from one to the next. In my experience it always comes down to the strata manger themselves. We a lucky now to have Elizabeth Avery looking after our plan and she has been very responsive and helpful. Just hope we have her for a while!
Jennifer at BCS at Chatdwood is marvellous at what she does. She is promopt at responding to requests for jobs to be done to our scheme and always follows up any concerns we have with any tradesmen she sends to fix a job. She has over 50 schemes to deal with but always gives you the impression that you're the only one on her books as she always gives you the time to go over any issues you may have and offers constructive solutions to them. She has a sense of humour and nothing is too difficult for her under any circumstances. We couldn't recommend Jennifer more and are glad she has been our strata manager for the last three years. Here's to the next three!
I found Joshua Kim to be responsive and most helpful. He took prompt action to assist us in our requests for information in respect of strata affairs needed urgently for our purchaser clients.
Jennifer Lindner became our Strata Manager at a very challenging time and has steered us through most patiently and expertly. She is unfailingly polite, deals with Body Corporate issues promptly and with commendable attention to detail. We are lucky to have her.
Marie Gomez stepped in to assist our strata scheme while we were between regular managers. This happened to be a particularly stressful time with some plumbing emergencies, and Marie went above and beyond to explain the issues and arrange the repairs. Thank you, Marie.
