11Perfect, stop here. Made a stop here just to sleep overnight on our way to Melbourne from Sydney.
Came here looking for camping but left because it has a few people with clearly permanent settlements and it just felt really off, more like a shanty town in the Great Depression than a campground
Good free camp site we got there at 4pm on a Tuesday and there was only 1 spot left so make sure you get here early. There does seem to be some long term caravans here taking up a few spots but there is plenty left for overnight campers.
Good spot but close to road & 5 or 6 roosters have taken up residence in the state forest, 2 picnic tables, first in best dressed only 1 disabled spot, the walk to the lake is very nice, a few steps along the way & rocky in parts.l saw a kangaroo, roosters & lizards lots of little birds, some black swans on the lake also
Awesome spot, great facilities and close to town. You can hear trucks throughout the night which is the only downside, but other than that you feel as if you're in the middle of the forrest. Only about 10 spots so might be hard to get one in peak holiday times
Top the best place for camp stop rest fresh water near to the beaches 3m and 10 min to naroma shopping centre I love it
Great overnight stop for all the reasons below plus track to lake! Lots of people this time including caravans, campervans and tents
This is a great rest area! Has fresh water, bathrooms and camp fire pits. Located far enough away from the road. The area has flat ground. Good for vans and camper vans.
Great spot. Drop toilets, surprisingly clean. Water tap on mains water. Bins. Book swap. Individual large parking bays, some have covered picnic tables. Some open, some covered. Come early for your pick I arrived at 4ish, it was empty but many more came after. Some road noise drops by 10.
Camping in the state forest among the tall trees is always good. Nice and quiet considering how close to the highway. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all concerned
