Bobbin Head reviews
40It’s a good place to have a short bush walk and relax. The play ground entertains kids and plenty of water fountains, toilets, and barbecues are available. The parking fee for 2023 is 12$ and you can pay it in the parking by parking stands. The place is nice and quiet and is good for family gathering or relaxation. Two restaurants provides service in Bobbin Head and their main options are seafood.
Gorgeous place. Great fishing and kayaking spot, great for large bbqs, and two restaurants on site.
Perhaps the most boring park in Sydney with no network coverage and 12 dollars entry fee and a horrible restaurant that charges you 120 dollars for a seafood basket full of chips.
Excellent spot for a picnic, lots of benches and boothes, and the playground area and easy water access for fishing can't be beat.
Wonderful small part of Ku-ring-gai national park with waterways, near a marina. Marina cafe does a great lunch and a refreshing drink after hiking. Has handy bathrooms. Great place to relax and unwind. Waterways lovely for kayaking and hiking.
Such a beautiful place for a weekend out. It is a bit far (depending on from where you are coming from in Sydney) but worth the drive.
Plenty of parking, boating, electric bbq options and clean toilets. It also has a small park for the kids on the right side of bridge. We will be going there again.
A very picturesque & tranquil location. Plenty of space for picnicking & engaging in some recreational activities. Great trails for walking along. On-site Cafe. Excellent venue for a family day out.
Magnificent place for a day out. The best thing is it's just beside the water. Lots of places to sit and picnic. There is a big sitting area which needs to be booked for a private function from NPWS. Restrooms are clean and are closer to the carpark near the bridge. Options for kayaking as well. Lots of BBQ hotplates.
Some roadworks going on down there but good to see upkeep going on. Want overly busy which was great. Weather was very nice, so it was a lovely day out.
Kid friendly picnic spot in between the national park. Having a cafe nearby helps to go unprepared.
Lovely bushwalk in National Park all year long. You can do fishing and some water activities too.
Try local cafe, and visit Information center to get more advise regarding flora and fauna.
Got stuck here in my rx7 middle of the night right at the bottom.would not recommend bringing your jdm shitbox here first day after wiring in new standalone ecu.learn from my mistakes and make sure you dont reuse the unreliable stock harness coil power wire.
Great spot on Cowan Creek $12 park entry if you don't have a pass.
Nice walks either at the end of the car park along a boardwalk over the creek or behind the marina following the creek for a long scenic waterside walk.
Cafe at Bobbin Inn over the bridge or at the marina.
There's also Apple Tree Bay a short drive away with another extensive walk along the main waterway once you cross the foot bridge.
There are a number of picnic and BBQ areas also.
Enjoy.
Beautiful spot for a picnic, trail walk or paddle in a canoe. Good amount of parking but fills up on busy days.
Ideal for canoeing, picnic and bush walk. Can get very busy on weekends but overall a nice area to chill out!
Infrastructure and facilities is not the best, but the river view is great and you can rent the rowboats/kayaks, pedal boats and swan pedal boats. Also good for having fish and chips / seafood cuisine at the local cafe and do a bit of fishing.
Abundance of parking for cars and boat trailers however no wash down facilities. Toilet in ramp area. Good pontoon next to ramp.
Great Fishing. There are bathrooms and a park for kids to play. And it's in one of the greatest national parks Australia has to offer.
Attended the Jabulani Trail Run at Bobbin Head. What an amazing location. Inside the larger Ka-RIng-Gai National Park Bobbin Head is a lovely spot for a day trip from Sydney. Beautiful water views and lots and lots of walking trails that will keep you busy out in nature all day. Well worth the visit.
Beautiful day outing for families with young kids. The playground is one of the best I've been to along the north shore (balancing area using natural logs, a natural log house, slide, multiple swings). There is a nice mangrove walk where you can see tiny crabs as well! Also a big grassy area for picnics and kicking a ball
