Absolutely brilliant! Patient service and a very friendly environment. Wonderful bits and bobs. Fabric cutoffs of a wide variety.

I've been to Bobbin and Ink 3 times in the past year to do various courses (stencilling, beginners sewing and screen printing).
Laura and Susan are both super knowledgeable and supportive and were able to answer all my questions and give me lots of advice along the way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Discovered this business about two months ago and couldn’t be happier with my find! Laura is a pleasure to deal with, is incredibly knowledgeable, and charges very reasonable prices for machine repair and service. Sorted out my 30+ year old machine quickly while keeping me well informed on status. I’ve been taking sewing lessons from Susan - who is a wealth of knowledge and loads of fun to learn from. Honestly, this place is the little makery shed I’ve always wanted to join but never knew existed! If you are even the slightest interested in sewing or screen printing I’d highly recommend checking them out - you’ll not be disappointed!

I attended the screen printing for beginners class and cannot recommend it highly enough. Laura is highly knowledgeable and generous with her time and insights (she's also nice company!) The studio is well equipped and full of inspiring crafty things. Love!

Absolutely amazing experience purchasing a new sewing machine through Bobbin and Ink. Laura really took the time to explore what kind of sewing I wanted to do and explained all my different options. I bought a Brother Innov-is F-420 and Laura took the time to teach how to run it like a dream and all about its special features. I can't wait to sign up for their classes - the instructors all seem incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Such a great store. Courses are great. Staff and trainers are so knowledgeable. Great atmosphere to learn to sew.

Learning to sew at Bobbin and Ink was such a joy. After purchasing a sewing machine through the owner Laura, I found the beginners learning to sew class was the perfect way to gain confidence using my machine, and to methodically work my way through creating my first garment. Susan is a sensational teacher with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is endlessly patient and clear with her instructions and ensures that every student gets the attention and support they need. With no previous experience I was very pleasantly surprised with the dress I was able to create through my classes and have gone on to finish several more garments using the skills I learned. Bobbin and Ink is a safe and inclusive space to learn, and a very covid safe environment too. I can’t recommend this class highly enough if you want to learn this fantastic skill from some fantastic people!

Laura you are so knowledgeable, talented, clever, patient, interesting and interested and open to sharing your passion for print - I could have stayed forever. And you made sure everyone in the class came away with a print to cherish.

I would absolutely recommend this workshop for anyone wanting to get started. You'll learn heaps, be inspired and have a super time. And if you're looking for a space to work in - Bobbin and Ink have everything you'll need (just a wee bit envious!) I know I'll be back. Thank you!

My wife and I went to buy a sewing machine and I have to be honest. The professionalism they show really stands out. If you buy a sewing machine, they offer 1hr lesson to teach how to use it, and they often don't care if it takes longer. Also, they have us advise against their immediate economic gain, and this made them our go to place number 1! I think we spoke with a lady called Indigo, very knowledgeable and helpful!

Amazing. Went above and beyond delivering my order for me when I was unable to make it to click and collect. New favourite store for crafts. Look forward to going in in person after lockdown.

I called up today for some advice on materials for a sewing project and the woman who answered (the owner I think) was wonderfully helpful. Gave be great advice about what to buy and even some useful advice on my current project which was nice.
They also offer free local delivery during COVID-19 lockdown so I was able to make an order online and they will deliver it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful people and beautiful place. Went into get a sewing machine on the recommendation of a friend and got one. Indigo sat me down, took me in and out through the machine answering all my questions, however silly they were.
No wonder people say it's their Happy place, it indeed is.

Bobbin and ink has become my happy place. The beginner's course was incredible and so helpful, and the swimwear course was so much fun! Susan the teacher is amazing and Laura and indigo are always so helpful.

This place is incredible!
A couple of years ago I did a beginners dressmaking course here. It was heaps of fun, I learned so much about dressmaking, and I ended up with a really cool dress that I still wear all the time.
More recently, I decided to take on the ambitious task of making my own wedding dress. A couple of weeks before the wedding I realised something had gone wrong with the dress. Not knowing where else to turn, I contacted Laura at Bobbin and Ink – she was amazing! She told me exactly what I needed to do to fix the dress, and even pinned it up so I couldn’t go wrong. I really can’t imagine what I would have done without her kindness and expertise. I can’t recommend Bobbin and Ink enough!

I received the print course as a birthday present. The course far exceeded my expectations. Whether you're looking to get into screenprinting or just looking for a fun day, Laura is an amazing teacher.

What a great screen printing class. Laura was an amazing teacher since she worked from the ground up as a screen printer in commercial scene. She was able to explain everything very clearly and answered all the questions we had in depth. We had a great group. The space is dynamic and fun with a buzz of sewing classes and screen print. Loved this course would recommend to any one of any age and i will be back for more of the other classes at Bobbin and Ink. Not to mention everyone was friendly too.plus tea and coffee! Thanks so much for having me.
