Boambee Headland Lookout reviews
42A great place to ponder just how lucky we are to live in Australia, the view over to the ocean to the mountains is marvellous! Please remember to put your rubbish and cigarette button in the bin to keep the place awesome!
Beautiful lookout. There are short walks to see many vantage points of the headlands. Amazing views down below.
Stunning view with a great walking track that goes all the way to the beach. Perfect show of where the forest meets the beach vibe
Very nice views of beach activities towards the north up to the Coffs marina and muttonbird island.
Boambee Headland lookout was a really good walk and excellent view north along the beach ️
A beautiful headland with lovely walking paths from lower carpark around to top
carpark and linking down on to sawtell beach. Part of the solitary islands coastal walk.
Easily accessible (when outside Chrissy holidays) and walks are reasonably easy, but some steep sections if starting at the water tower car park. Even spotted some fireflies at night in the dense bush land sections. Spectacular place to watch either the sun or moon rising above the ocean.
Easy parking after going up a narrow road. The view north and south was amazing. Definitely recommend going there.
Beautiful views up and down the coast. Very easy to drive to for those with mobility difficulties. We loved our visit to Boambee Headland.
Wonderful. Was going to give it the full 5 but that would be perfection and nothing's perfect. Is it?
Gorgeous?
Bring your picnics and enjoy it! Highly recommend this place. You can see the ocean meets the river. The colour of the water is amazing! Plenty of parkings but no toilets tho.
Beautiful beach and lookout. You can see the whole coastline in both directions and if you take the grass trail, you will come out at the most easterly point where you can walk left to the creek swimming (shower and toilet) or right to Sawtell. Straight ahead is a quiet like area to sit and have a private do or just sit on the bench and watch the ocean.
Nice lookout which is soon to be upgraded apparently. You get a superb high view of the ocean and headlands from the path here. Plus, the walk from here along the beach to Sawtell is just superb when the weather is right. What a glorious area of Australia this is.
Stunning views over the creek and bays either side. The creek looked lovely for family swimming.
Nice view both north and south, a few picnic tables but no rubbish bins. So has a little rubbish around.
Nice view of the ocean at top of lookout. Couple of popular picnic benches. Busy at lunch time on a sunny day. People also go walking on the headland. Only downside is when big vehicles block your views depending where you're parked and skinny driveway going up and down; must be careful when driving up & back down.
Nice spot, beautiful vista, you can go for a bit of a walk also, there is a little entrance to Boambee creek where you can have a fish if you desire, lot of fresh water when I was there but looks real fishy, the headland rocks look especially good for a throw
Great views of the surrounding beaches. A few walks/tracks nearby. Only the "ugly" water towers detract from the atmosphere.
This spot is great to whale watch in the right season. Picnics are great to have here, nice walks and a the beach pool is awesome to enjoy a swim in
