Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Cafe reviews
9What is happening to this place? ! It used to be sooo good that we made it our regular destination for lunch or coffee. But, for the last 6 to 8 months (maybe more.) we have noted a decline in customer service; they take ages to take the order and provide the service; the quality of the food has deteriorated; they always seem to run out of food; some staff do not seem to want to be there (never smile.) ; and some look a bit unhygienic. I could go on with more detailed descriptions but prefer not to. This was our favourite place which we visited on a weekly basis or sometimes more often, and the place where we were happy to bring our visitors and recommend to others. So I avoided it for quite a while but went there last week. I felt angry and sad because it hadn't improved. Please do something!
My lunch never arrived, while my friend ate hers. I enquired and was told it was coming - it never arrived. I complained after my friend had finished eating hers and accepted a refund as it was now too late. Staff were apologetic. I'll try again.or maybe not. This was 6 months ago, maybe they've improved.
I did not go to the coffee shop. I was in the toilets.in the same building as a coffee shop come Library.there was a man from the coffee shop with his apron on urinating.
When I found the manager from the coffee shop, I told her what I had seen.
She thought the phone call that she was on was more important than speaking to the staff member that had gone to the toilet with his apron on.
Eventually she did go to the kitchen and speak to the staff member, I think after I raise my voice.
I would never eat anything from this place. Knowing that this is happening. Where is the food hygiene.stay away
Love this place. My husband and I are regulars. Would rate this five star, however the coffee has been replaced by another brand. This new coffee is bitter and unpleasant. Please bring back the old brand of coffee.
Extremely bad service. Went to get a takeaway coffee. Ordered and waited for the coffee. The barista was very slow and after making the coffee, she was seen doing the waiter's duties, taking the coffee to the table. Yet, I waited patiently and when my turn came, she was clearly seen making the coffee for the person who ordered after me. I was getting late for my appointment. So, left without the coffee. Time and money wasted for nothing.
It's in the same building as the library. So after exhausting yourself in research you can have a lovely light morning tea or lunch. Every thing is home made and fresh.
We have been regulars (like weekly) over the years but after today's experience we will not be returning. The service was terrible, we were made feel so unwelcome. In addition the quality of the food today was shocking. The side salad was completely inedible. If you saw that salad sitting in your own fridge at home you would throw it out.definately not serve it to guests.let alone paying customers.
Julia was amazing! Fantastic service. I couldn’t fault her amiable and friendly disposition towards me. Chatty, knowledgeable and one of this people who draw others towards them.
The exhibition was fantastic and well placed. Well done BMCC. Impressed.
This cafe has been in decline for a few years and has now hit a new low. Probably the worst barista in Katoomba and that's tough competition. They make a chai late with half teaspoon of syrup and argue that it's acceptable.
