Blue Buffalo Cafe reviews
47 Very tasty Bahn Mi!
My wife was impressed with the whole gluten free section on the menu. She was able to pick care-free.
Absolutely delicious food. My partner is Vietnamese and agrees this is really authentic Vietnamese. The most authentic Vietnamese we’ve had outside Vietnam.
The atmosphere and staff are lovely as well. True hospitality!
As a Viet, I would rate the food here is 10 out of 10, and I greatly appreciate their efforts to make authentic Vietnamese food in that little town where it's hard to find Viet ingredients. I was impressed with their Vietnamese Pancake and Banh Mi (bread), which come so close to our authentic taste. This truly reminded me of my home country.
Really really good Vietnamese food. The food is fresh and authentic. We love it.
2 year later The Blue Buffalo is even better. If you are in the area - Just go there!
We have been to Vietnam a few times. These guys are on par with the best food we have eaten in Vietnam. Their Banh Mi rolls are and rice paper rolls are fantastic.
Travelled from Port to try out their pho. Soup was pretty good but meat wasn't that great. I ordered rare beef but it came out already fully cooked and it's hand sliced beef not thinly sliced brisket like the ones you get in Sydney.
Popped in to Blue Buffalo for some dinner. Very friendly staff and she even bought it out to me in the car
Got home and the meal was delicious
Would definitely recommend the Blue Buffalo
The best roasted pork roll (bánh mì) and other meals in the menu you cannot find this best pork rolls from other places from Newcastle to Mid North Coast and Port Macquarie. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful little Laurieton Cafe. Had amazing fresh spring rolls that tasted heavenly. Tofu and avocado (vegan) with the avocado being one of the best spring rolls I've ever tasted. Had an incredible Vietnamese iced coffee (cafe su da) as well. Very reasonable prices with amazing fresh ingredients. Wide variety of menu options. Seating inside and outside. Whilst we didn't have it the pho smelt incredible. Highly recommend!
The best and most friendly service I have had anywhere. Better than a Michelin star restaurant. Amazing people.
Food was also great. Beef pho was flavourful, fresh and beef super tender - huge serving. Bahn mi was delicious and Vietnamese iced coffee was to die for!
Prices are really good, bang for your buck!
Had lunch here today and we enjoyed our main meals - Shaking Beef which was very tender (though I expected it to be a little bit spicy and wasn't) as well as Bun Thit Nuong. I'd like to try the Pho next time. The disappointment was the glass of pineapple juice I ordered. At $9.00 per glass I wasn't expecting a very watered down juice lacking much pineapple flavour. I wish I'd order a Vietnamese coffee which I've read is good.
Wonderful Vietnamese food, with attentive service, try their specials like chilli mudcrab when available.
Up visiting.was very excited to finally see a Vietnamese restaraunt here after years of none in the area. Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Banh mi and spring rolls were delicious. And that vietnamese iced coffee in my opinion better than alot of Vietnamese restaraunts in bigger cities will definately be back to try the rest of the menu.
The food was amazing, the staff very friendly, we will defiantly be back. So, hope to see you again soon.
Wow, first time that I dined at Blue Buffalo Cafe today. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming. Definitely worth going back for more.
Went here yesterday to eat lunch.
Food was good and our cravings were satisfied!
We enjoyed eating here and ended up doing take away loved the pho, bahn mi, vietnamese coffee and the viet pancake
Service was amazing too. I forgot to get the name of the lady who served us she was really nice and has a service with a smile.
Thanks guys!
For the higher end cost of the food not worth it I’m sorry…
I’ve given this place a few chances along with family, being a local there isn’t much here so we keep going back but no more: (
Restaurant started out pretty good and now has fallen very much…. Quality and quantities, poor reflection of vietmenese food. The main meat and rice dishes are just full of rice, so bland. Onion is the main vegetable along with bean sprout fillers.
Rice paper rolls, pork ribs, vietmenese coffee and spring rolls are the best way to go safely
Not a reflection of authentic food, needs to up its game because we need good food in our town.
I hope they bring back their full potential.
We were just passing through town, we had 2 bahn mi and they weren’t very flavourful.the salad was very fresh.
Incredibly friendly front of house and kitchen staff, a limited menu and quite tasty food. Leave your high expectations at the door as this is not Vietnam nor Cabramatta or Canley Heights. It's Laurieton. My only gripe, which is quite minor, is a little more noodles in the Bun Thit Nuong would have been much more fitting for the price.
What a great place to discover an array of creative Vietnamese cuisine which was OPEN for business during the holiday season! All the team were extremely friendly and efficient and served up our delicious meals with a friendly smile.
