Blown Away Hair Spa

So glad i came across this magnificent salon by accident, It's a Day spa for your hair with beautiful products No toxins, my regrowth i used to get done every 3 weeks but with these organic products it will last for 6! The staff are so personable and really know how to colour and style my hair to suit my age which i love. Thank you girls!

Sosi is great my hair has never looked better - always feel very welcome and enjoy the relaxing calm atmosphere!

I saw Sosi few months ago who fixed up my hair after previous salon used a really dark shade and i didn't like it. Sosi listened to what i wanted and she had great suggestions. Also the fact they use natural ingredients made me feel safe and comfortable.
It wasn't a salon experience, it was more than that. I felt like talking to good old friends who gave me health tips as I was really concerned about my little one after receiving a gp phone call during my appointment.
Highly recommend both of them!

Visiting the salon for the first time to cover the grays! The colour match was perfect I was truly relived and happy with the outcome, also knowing that less harmful products were used to achieve this was a bonus.

So happy I found this beautiful Low-Tox Hair Salon! My hair has never felt healthier, shinier and the colour is beautiful and covers my grey so well for at least 6-8 weeks. Sosi is very experienced, talented, friendly and lovely to spend a few hours chatting with. Love that I can purchase a range of Organic Hair Care products, and refill my bottles at each visit.

I am so glad I found this salon. The condition of my hair has improved with the products they use and I am really interested in lightening the toxic load in what ever way I can.

From the moment I walked in to the salon, I knew I was going to love the experience! It was refreshing to smell beautiful oils and not chemicals like a mainstream salon. Kalli was professional yet friendly, knowledgeable yet open-minded. I will definitely recommend and visit again. Safe for children, I took my baby with zero Mum guilt!

Unfortunately I could not be more disappointed by my experience here last month, especially seeing all the other positive reviews, I can’t help but wonder why I deserved to be treated the way I was.
Kalli and I had many things in common and I thought we got along well, all was going fine until I saw the colour of my hair. I’m naturally dark blonde and I’ve been getting highlights for over 15 years. I felt like my hair was a little light through the top and my natural colour underneath was contrasting too much so I booked for a full head of highlights to lighten up underneath a little. My hair was also quite brassy and needed a toner. Kalli suggested we bring some of my natural colour into the top to break up the all over light blonde and blend it better, I thought that sounded great.
What a walked out with was the worst colour of my life, I cried every time I looked in the mirror and wore my hair in a ponytail with a hat for the next 2 weeks. My hair was a dark grey purple, there was no blonde left in my hair, no warmth, it was awful. I tried washing it out and shampooed my hair around 12 times in 3 days. It lightened a little but nowhere near enough. I called Kalli and said I was unhappy and could I come back in, I went back 3 days later.
I went in hoping to put it aside, I didn’t want to be unkind or accusatory, I just wanted hair that didn’t make me cry. Kalli proceeded to blame me for having bleached hair that held too much of the purple toner, she said “it looked good”, couldn’t understand why I didn’t like it, “it was my natural colour, that’s what we discussed”, but we never discussed me leaving with dark grey purple hair, (that is nobody’s natural colour), and we never discussed me not being a blonde or her putting my “natural colour” all over my hair. After some back and forward she said she could put some blonde foils through the front to lighten it, I agreed but she then proceeded to do the most fine foils I’ve ever seen, I walked out looking exactly the same.
2 weeks later I went to another salon to go blonde again. I’m still so unhappy with my hair now though and think it’ll take a while to get it back to good condition after washing and dying it so many times in a short space of time. At least now I can wear it out but still partially covered with hats and headbands without crying.
I’m not sure how it went so wrong, I think the toner was way too dark and purple and left on too long and I think there was a big miscommunication, but it was the experience when I went back that is the most disappointing and why I couldn’t not leave this review.

What a beautiful salon. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with the healing aromas of essential oils, herbal tea and little treats in what feels like a getaway retreat. I came to Kalli and her team a little over a year ago with hair loss, scalp dermatitis/irritation and sensitivity to chemicals used in salons. I still remember walking out my first session, amazed that my scalp wasn't stinging! The products they use are so super friendly and gentle. Today, my hair is strong, thick, gaining length and restored greatly thanks to Kalli and her team. Blown away hair spa is a holistic experience! Haven't looked back since!

I had a wonderful hair colour with Coco using low-tox colours and treatment. I have to admit that I’m very fussy with the tone of blonde I like and I wasn’t sure low-tox products could achieve the platinum blonde look. I was very surprised and delighted with the result. The vibes in this salon are very earthy and calming, the team have a lovely energy and a great selection of natural hair and skin care products. Highly recommend, thank you for a great experience.

For starters the energy of the salon is beautiful. But most importantly I loved my blonde foils. When it comes to going blonde it can be challenging for some hairdressers but she nailed it AND essential oils are even used which im crazy over.

Karli and the team at Blown Away hair have been looking after my hair for 20 years. I have moved all around Sydney and I still make time to come see Karli and the team because of the great service and fun easy going vibe they have at the salon. I also love how she has transitioned over the years into more holistic way in using natural products, that are not only better for you but also for the environment.

Once you step foot into the salon you will smell the beautiful natural essence oil they have on for the day, which is followed by a natural herbal tea to relax you while the staff get you ready for your haircut and in the background you have the relaxed music to ease your mind and all you have to do is just sit back relax and enjoy the great service the team offer.

My scalp improved immediately. The team are friendly, kind and passionate about managing toxins in hair products. I highly recommend.
