Bishop's Court Estate

Completely above and beyond our expectations. Christine & staff were exceptional and created a truly memorable experience. From custom breakfasts (brekkie!) to recommendations for dinner in Bathurst, Christine's service was unlikely any other vacation experience. The property is stunning; we enjoyed our morning flat white's on the balcony watching the sunrise. At sunset, we unwound with champagne in the library and friendly conversation with the other guests. If you are looking to travel to Bathurst or Orange, Bishop's Court Estate is the place to stay.

Just stayed. 2 nights here and had a great experience. Very different from any place we have stayed before - loved the history and charm. What made it even better was the host/ chef Christine - we couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. Her breakfast was devine - and lots of little touches everywhere. Highly recommend

The generosity of Christine was out of this world. From the minute we walked in, to the minute we checked out, she made it feel like our home for the weekend, rather than a place to stay fro a few nights. Her cooking was sensational and the rooms incredibly comfortable.

A stay at Bishop’s Court is much more than just a stay in a lovely hotel. The care and attention to detail from Christine and her team made our stay one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve had. Can’t wait to return.

What a beautiful place. Owner Christine personally welcomed us and introduced us to all areas of this luxurious property. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the beautiful gardens. We enjoyed late afternoon drinks in the library, champagne by the open fire, and an excellent dinner in the Chapel. Our stay was a truly memorable experience. Christine opens her heart and soul to ensure a fabulous experience.

This place is amazing! Christine has restored and decorated this place to perfection. Stunning, elegant yet felt completely at home. Lovely touches everywhere, from the chocolates, to the bubbles in the evening, to a delicious breakfast. Absolutely recommend.

Christine catered to our every need. We arrived exhausted on Friday

night to a delicious 3 course meal elegantly laid out in the formal dining room. We felt instantly relaxed. We're definitely returning for a second visit. The weekend was perfect.

This was a surprise pre-booked by my girlfriend and I had no knowledge of what I was walking in to.

Arriving at Bishops Court was like stepping out of the wardrobe, and into Narnia.

Immediately there’s a wave of calm, and we were greeted at the door with welcoming energy.

Words simply cannot describe the passion for food. Breakfast was next level and no request was a problem.

Highly recommend a two night stay at Bishop’s Court (we left after one night wishing we could stay another). Very few ‘stays’ are comparable to this one.

One of the finest accomodation experiences we have ever had. Christine and her crew are perfect hosts. We had Rev Samuel Marsden's bedroom for our stay. From a quiet drink on the upper balconey to lively discussion around the breakfast table, Bishops Court is a perfect retreat from today's hectic, and bland world. Though we had our own bathroom, it was down the hall. Magnificent building exquisitely furnished.

A beautifully renovated property with all the classic charms of times gone by. The rooms are spacious and plenty of places to sit and relax. Christine is an exceptional host with a wealth of knowledge about the Bathurst area. Highly recommended.

Victorian house with modern touches. Lots of places to sit indoors and outdoors and read or reflect. Beautiful gardens and a friendly resident cat. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are very clean and well presented. The whole estate is lovely and it is a quiet street on top of the hill. The owner Christine was very friendly and helpful, and had a lot of local knowledge about Bathurst and the things to see and do there.

Cant say enough great things about this place, absolutely superb location, beautiful French inspired decor and furniture, warm friendly host Christine and a beautiful brekky by Barb, thank you guys, you made our weekend incredible, cant wait to do it again
