BIG4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park reviews
80Beautiful park. Amenities clean. Concrete slab powered site perfect for hard bottom camper. Sites large. Plenty of bbqs.
Left a review here last time about the bedding. And I have to say it has definitely improved. Beds were comfortable but the rooms were very hot. Ceiling fan was stuck on low. And there was a tiny wall mounted fan in the bunkbed room that kept sputtering because of wear and tear. Rooms need some more cooling options. But otherwise it was very pleasant.
Loved the location, close enough to walk to town, Sawtell Bowlo and Croquet Clubs next door. Beach access is metres away from most accomodation, campsites clean and tidy with lots of trees and green space. There is a variety of cabins and villas available within a reasonable price range. Plenty of play areas for kids plus a large playground with the usual swings and roundabouts plus a great flying fox. Staff are always around and very helpful.
Great spot to stay staff were very helpful, especially front desk as they gave info of what area has to offer. Highly recommend a stay here. Pricing wasn't over the top either.
We stayed in a deluxe cabin for 2 nights with our baby. The staff were very accommodating to our request with a porta cot. The grounds were lovely with a swimming pool, beach nearby and would make a great spot for older kids too.
Great place to stay just out of Coffs Harbour. Facilities are clean and well kept. Very family friendly. Some spots are uneven which makes parking a van difficult. Towards back of park was much quieter which we preferred as a couple with no kids. There's a path leading to the creek and beaches. Across the creek there is an awesome rockpool you can swim in. 5 minute walk to Sawtell Village with a variety of dinky little shops to browse and shop in. Sawtell Hotel great place for a meal and a few drinks.
It was a fantastic place to setup our caravan for the first time. The creek is amazing, close to beaches, rock pools and headlands.
It also has a really fun bike track that my boys loved! The park was quality too.
Super close to plenty of shops and restaurants too.
Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. On departure we needed an extra hour because of rain and were taken care of.
Very thankful and will be back again soon.
The campground is very well taken care of and the facilities were clean. In this campground there is a large field for the kids to play in. There is a nice swimming pool that you have free access to as part of your stay. There is also lawn bowls and croquet adjacent to the camp grounds. The beach is wonderful and a great place to play and swim.
Clean and close to shops restaurant and beach. Was disappointed by what they call the camp kitchen, nothing more then a few bbqs and a sink, not even a fridge.
Great location, only a short walk to see the water.
Large kids playground and open space for them to run around.
Well maintained and flat sites.
Large amenities block with good laundry.
Have started here every year at Easter for over 15 years and highly recommended it. Note they have renovated there main amenities block it is even better. Beautiful headland walk nearby and always the big friendly goanna's not far away
Have stayed here twice in our caravan on a slabbed site. Very impressed both times. Sites were excellent. Amenities very clean and well maintained. Easy walk to town and beach. Extremely pleasant stay on both occasions. Highly recommend this van park.
Had a lovely stay at the big 4 sawtell friendly staff and beautidul surrounding a must for anyone going to sawtell
Fantastic facilities and incredibly clean and well maintained. I highly recommend staying here, we will certainly back
We came to stay for 3 nights during the recent bad weather and obviously expected to get wet, we were given a site near the entrance and it was quite muddy as we expected but were not warned of. We had a pushbike stolen that night, it wasn't unlocked so it was my own fault. We decided to pull up stumps the next morning and head for home as it was a mud bath, i let reception know that we were heading off and made them aware of the mud and the bike being stolen. No empathy was forthcoming, just told that of course it would be stolen if it wasn't locked. No refund or credit was offered for the 2 nights we wouldn't be there. I received a survey in which i let them know my thoughts and they asked for my number to contact me, I haven't heard anything from them.
Disappointing experience, weather can't be helped but staff attitudes could be improved.
This is the first time I have ever posted a negative review and hopefully the last. We booked our powered caravan site 3 months prior to arriving and asked to be near our friends. However we were allocated a small triangular site right outside the toilets which the van did not fit. Could not put awning right out or use sullage drain. Topped off with 2 days of cold showers. You can do better Big 4.
This is my second solo travel and my first time in NSW. I stayed four days in Big4 Sawtell and there are many attractions to visit in Coff Harbour. I gonna miss this site and I would like to say a huge thanks for giving us a perfect hospitality.
Can't fault this place. Loads of great facilities and clean amenities. Grounds were well kept, nice and quiet and walking distance to town and the beach. Lovely staff.
Lovely spot, great setting. Not too busy. Easy access ie walk into Sawtell for restaurants and amenities.
Reception staff lovely, loved our site no. 28 nice and big, clean amenities and great position to town. We will be back!
