Bridgette on the front counter needs a lesson in customer service and basic communication skills. Being employed in a customer service role, with absolutely no people skills just baffles me! #badmoodbadforbusiness

Big store with plenty of stock and room to move. Lots of staff and checkouts, not many customers. Inconveniently out of the way, so you can't just drop in for quick supplies, but if you're already around for Woolworths then it's worth it.

Never been treated so poorly by staff for no reason whatsoever.i work in customer service so i understand what it’s like.it’s also why i treat other workers with the utmost respect and have all the patience for them but i’ve never been made to feel that way by other service staff ever.i will not return because that’s unacceptable.be nice to people.a lesson in kindness for the staff here wouldn’t go astray.

Their security guard claims to be an undercover police officer and assaulted a minor. He is not a police officer! Once the actual police showed up, he pretended to be injured and they arrested the minor for injuring him. This is totally unacceptable!

A big ship. Quite spacious so it is easy to move around. Plus products well presented, not cluttered. Staff excellent.

Booked time to collect items from Service desk. Confirmed I was on my way an hour and a half before arrivals. Confined I was there 10 minutes before arriving at store. Get to Service Desk; no one there. Ring bell twice in 10 minutes, still no one there although several staff members looked at me waiting and offered no assistance. Phoned store, asking where is the staff for the service desk? Eventually an attendant arrived. Due to the wait time, late for other appointments. Not good enough Big W. You ask us to book a time to collect and there’s no one there to assist. What’s the point of booking a time? With Christmas not far away, one can only hope that you will to have an attendant at the service desk, otherwise, you’re likely to have some very cranky people.

Great range of product. Very well priced. Got a pair of jeans cheap that I won't miss if I purchase something better in Japan.

Great customer service today from the young chap on the register aiden was his name I think very helpful and polite.

All the usual goodies conveniently located in Newcastle West. Parking in the upper levels for ease of access. Great service and always good stocks on the shelf.

Was looking for a hard to find item as stock showing zero on most stores. Staff here were very helpful and went out of their way to try and find item. Didn’t locate at the time but effort to assist was tops.

Unfortunately I had very bad experienced today with unprofessional assistant at self checkout around 6.40 pm! Just asked for help 2 Time and he was shaking his Head and talked with very rude behavior! Unfortunately I didn't catch his name!

One of the better bigW's around the area. I'd go here over Charlestown, Jeso, and the like. Always clean, the ticketing is alright most of the time, the stock is there, but the staff are what pull it along. Just nice regular people, not fake, not fancy. Parking is good as well, close, covered, and with an elevator or escalator.

Purchased a mascara at bigw yesterday just to open it today and find it not useable at all! Was all dried up & clumped at the bottom.the mascara stick was also snapped of inside of the mascara!

When shopping casually on a New Year’s Day, the experience is presumably a fairly uneventful one. What I found from the big w staff that assisted me in my determination to purchase a bulky heft of an air conditioner - not only into the trolley initially, but also escorted me to carpark so that new purchase was safely secured into the car.
I did find it a disappointment though, after I made way to service desk to ask for a bit of help, what I ended up attempting to mediate and or prevent something nasty that was starting to go down: irate customer - accompanied by mortified teen daughter - was livid about a mundane grievance surrounding the presentation of receipt/proof of purchase (though admittedly it was hostile in tone but vague in details).

BOTTLM LINE HERE: I asked enraged pillow customer “do you think that this debacle will bother you NEXT Christmas? ! Sadly the woman only implored for me to understand whilst treating young worker as beneath her. The worker reasonably requested the appropriate treatment/respect for her and staff… to me this is that ability to recognise a frustrating situation can just be that! These young (ish) workers went out of their way to assist me at every step on New Year’s Day. That’s the experience I took away… big w gets a big tick from me after this experience.

Double vaccination check at door. Good policy. Stock missing, best to check if you have your heart set on getting a particular item

The staff on the floor were friendly. Lachlan was helpful with my enquiries about some products I was looking at.

No probs everything went smoothly for a superstore, staff treated me good and I have what I needed.

I don't know about "loved" it, as it's just a Big W, but what I did like was how empty this place was. It was so quiet. I have been here pre-covid and it was quiet even then. I don't know how this big W survives when every time I go there, it is virtually devoid of customers. Plenty of staff if you have any questions and no problems with getting through checkout because there is literally no one else there. That is for existing and being tucked away a little that you don't get filled up and overcrowded.

It provides most of your household items and a lot of variance with spacious place to do your shopping.
