BIG W Mt Hutton reviews
43I got every thing I wanted. Great having a variety if shops in one place. Didn't take long to get my shopping done
It's a super Big W! Great for toy shopping and the kids clothes are pretty good quality and cheap.
I think the sooner this entire chain goes out of business the better. They are determined to not provide service in any way shape or form. And this store is leading the way. The website is hopeless. It's impossible to check physical stock for a store or even get contact. Details for a store. There isn't even a central number on the website. Eventually I was given a contact number by a Target! Staff member then spent 25 minutes on hold being told that I can check stock levels on the website. When I eventually got through to a store they told me they had the items I needed in stock. When I drive an hour yo the store, one staff member was too busy, eating a chocolate and couldn't even speak with her mouthful. Another told me she didn't have time to help because there was too much stock to put away. Needless to say the items I needed weren't actually in stock and I was informed that often the stock levels are wrong and they just don't have them. What a n insulting joke. Please leave our retail space.
Thanks to the party shop lady this Saturday … Lisa? I think? I forgot to order my daughter’s balloons but she came through for me thanks for saving the party
Advertised in brochure but no stock. Turned out to be a good thing because the item i was after was $10 cheaper at Repco.
Its ok. No different than all big w shops. Seem to be mainstreaming products. Used to be able to buy or order top end products in electronics.no choice to now. Only have and can only get mid level technical or cheaper stuff.still ok though
Great store easy to navigate and bargains can often be found especially near the party shop.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Staffed checkouts are limited but it has a grrat self serve register section.
Went to chemist 4 less didn't have the items i wanted but we're very obliging and ordered the item I needed
Today I bought something from the photo/technology counter, the lady there was friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure I had the right product and could compare prices. I don’t know her name but I was pretty impressed.
The range of clothing and array of sizes far exceeds that of The Central Coast stores. I need Buddha clothes in gigantic sizes.
Last time I'll ever spend money at this place. Hardly any prices on plants in gardening, no floor staff for assistance, 1/2 hour to get out of the store on a Wednesday morning because minimal checkout staff, heaps of hassles with useless self-service. Thanks for ruining my day and Coles and Bunnings can have my money in future as they actually serve you.
The classic, one of the only remaining places in Mt Hutton that has never got an upgrade. Most department locations are still in their places from the 90s.
They will have to put extra staff on at the door. I don't need to be spoken to rudely by an irritated over-worked employee when showing my vaccine passport. And where were all your staff when I needed help finding products that I then went elsewhere to purchase? I'm glad I've already told myself I'm not going out for the black Friday sales.
Really disappointed with today's visit. Sports equipment was classed as non-essential, so I was not able to walk in and purchase a frisbee. I was however able to buy 1kg of chocloate - I didn't. Went to Reject Shop opposite and bought a frisbee! Thanks Reject Shop for making my Fathers Day better:)
My mother tried to go into the store today to buy some pyjamas for one of her residents at her work while I was at an appointment and they told her that it wasn’t essential but I’m sorry what in the world makes the staff here think they have the right to determine what’s essential and what’s not like if alcohol is essential then surely clothes that you wear are 10x more essential than getting drunk everyday of lockdown, really disappointed with the service and I would recommend everyone steer clear of this pathetic excuse of a business
"No in store shopping" not sure how that works if people are IN THE STORE. Explain this if you can, during lockdown I can't buy a book or DVD's for the kids but some cross dressing old guy can buy makeup?
Staff are useless. I ordered a click and collect item in lockdown and they gave me the wrong item. They would not go and replace it with the correct item due to lockdown restriction for staff in store. Avoid this store at all costs. Go to Charlestown instead.
About to go into fourth day of waiting for my click and collect. Big W says orders before 12 will be available for collection by 4pm same day. Rang that day and was told they were a little behind on orders and it will be ready the next day. Rang at the end of the day the next day and was told that they are 48 hours behind orders. Still waiting. Not good enough. Needs to be a warning that you are goign to be waiting 4+ days for a click and collect on instock item. My little boy was so excited to get a new bike for school holidays but we are still waiting!
A golf fish would have been better at organising the click and collect service at this store. No mention on the website about click and collect orders only for selected items meanwhile people still shopping for "essential" items in store with no restrictions with a crowd of customers waiting at the door for click and collect orders to be ready. The 2 staff picking the click and collect orders would not have shared one brain cell between them.
I had layby rang up on sunday and was told i could come in and pay for it i show up today and get told i have to purches my layby with a egift card and that was a complete mess around then i finally get the gift card and i ring up and they could put in the system for some reason.if your going to change how we have to pay for stuff information needs to he sent out
