Bennelong Restaurant and Bar

Amazing place! All the cocktails were really good, presentation, taste, everything. Bartenders were very friendly and real professionals. I'm not a big fan of oysters, but decided to try and they were perfect!
The atmosphere is really fantastic views are beautiful.

Had our wedding anniversary here. The experience was amazing. Very professional staff that you can have great conversations with. Food was amazing in taste and presentation. I would have preferred larger portions. Although the quality made up for that. Bonus of having one of the best views in the world that night, my wife. But harbour bridge came in second! Would definitely recommend.

The food and place are amazing, however it should be clearly communicated that the entrance is at the bottom, I made two old people climb the stairs to find out it was closed. We lost time and as a result our waiter was hurrying us all the evening. Didn't feel good at all.

Quite ordinary experience for our group of 10 for lunch. The first course took over 1.5 hrs to arrive, which came at the same time as the bread which was bizzare.
The main I ordered was a John Dory but it was dry and overcooked. My daughters meal which was ordered early came out late too.
Also, the serving staff interrupted our conversation so they could "explain" the course being served. It's fine, I've had grilled fish before.
Maybe it was because it was a big table or because it was a busy day? Regardless, fine dining should be consistent, high quality and of exceptional service. I do not consider any of those boxes ticked in my experience.

The service was by far and away the best I’ve ever had in any restaurant in Sydney. Incredible attention to detail - delivered with warmth and generosity of spirit so it felt very comfortable and welcome. Service is below expectations. The waiters not only would rudely interrupt our conversation, they also never ever got our orders right. We had a 3 course meal, and there were 4 of us on the table, each course they got the wrong orders (for example, first course they would give person A’s order to person B, person C to person A), this is below expectations for a restaurant that charges such premium price. Waiters were also rude. This is by far the worst fine dining experience in Sydney.

Absolutely beautiful and beyond belief how good this place is. You won't be disappointed. The food and staff are truly amazing. The atmosphere is second to none. Thank you.

Great location in the heart of the city, easy to access by public transport, (ferries, trains & busses) if you are coming from the cruise ship terminal, it is Approx 5-10 minutes walk. Bennelong point has everything you need, from the Opera House, shops, restaurant’s, live entertainment + once in a lifetime view of the city & Harbour! 1This is a must see when in -Sydney?

One of the most signature restaurant in Sydney, been there the first time was very overwhelmed by the dishes. All of them were very delicious and the presentation of the dishes are also very nice. The customer service is outstanding and the view is unique.would be a great place for a romantic date night or other celebration.

Spectacular location, grand environment literally in the sails of the opera House! We booked through Citibank dining and received a lovely bottle of red that perfectly suited our meal. Several different areas to be seated in, the bar was a little elevated and a nice place to dine.

It had a wonderful view of the Sydney Harbour and Circular Quay. The food was good as you'd expect from Peter Gilmore. The service we received was exceptional.

I had researched multiple reception venues for our wedding, however Bennelong stood out because well.how could it not? If you are looking to plan an event that is unique, iconic and sets a preceident then you don't have to search anywhere else.and the best thing, is unlike multiple quotes, a private event here does NOT break the bank. We were quite pleasently shocked at the final bill. Although restrictive in a few things (guest list capacity / limitations on sound system etc) it actually did not turn out to be an issue at all, being a restuarant you expect this anyway. Also this was due to covid restrictions any how, but for a private function you basically have the whole up stairs to yourselves with the flawless architecture and breathtaking views. Well worth the price per head.

The staff here set a standard in fine dining which i have not experienced anywhere else in the world. They take the upmost pride in their food, work and service. They are attentive, go out of their way to make the bride (myself) have the night of her life on top of all the other guests. The host himself (sorry i missed your name) was always smiling ready to serve and guide our guests upstairs all through to the next day when we had to pick up our table decor, our hostess was extremely attentive to all of my needs - making sure all guests were topped up always ;)

The food was exquisite, fresh, rich, fine dining at its best with alternatives for all dietry requirements.and the desserts.well im speechless. They were perfection.

And finally, for those who are planning a birthday / celebration / intimate wedding / engagement.the event staff in particular Claudia worked tirelessly to attend to my queries, enquiries, multiple changes, giving us as much info as she could with the lock down, closure / opening of the restaurant, bump in - out to make this wedding go off without a hitch - within covid - who would have thought. But we all pulled it off. A real team effort.

Had a show midweek at opera house so took our chances and asked for a bar seat at Bennelong, and got one of the best seats in the house. We had small bites and cocktails, each cocktail had either a theatre presentation or was presented beautifully. Can’t wait to go back for dinner.

Had a wonderful Friday evening here, right from the greeting on arrival it was all first class; amazing service, and the food was top quality. Special thanks to the maître’d for making it special when he found out it was my girlfriend’s birthday.

It was the worst experience. First of all, The view there was really beautiful. I have experienced many fine dining restaurants. I made a reservation at Curedn Culture Testing but said that due to covid, only dining steak course is available. I had no choice but to eat a steak course. First of all, I don't understand how the price of 3 courses is 170 dollars. Sydney has many hat restaurants in the same price range. Compared to them, the number and price of food was totally incomprehensible. Even the dishes were not great. There was a lot of bad smell in duck dishes. And the service was poor. The wine was empty in the wine glass during the main meal, but it didn't pour for a long time. The staff as a whole seemed busy and urgent. I couldn't believe it until the meal was over. I'm sorry for the restaurant, but it was the worst experience and I'll never go again, this is my subjective assessment.

Every time I go to the opera house I fall in love. I wish I had have gone to Bennelong earlier and really can’t wait to go back. It was the perfect dining experience in every single way.

Had the pleasure of visiting Bennelong for my Birthday with a few of my friends. View was amazing - went during Vivid (pre pandemic).
Food was so gorgeous but what was even better was the waitstaff.

Ordered a cocktail that was way too strong for me and the waitstaff saw me grimace when I took a sip. He came over and asked if anything was wrong and I laughed it off, saying that nothing was wrong, the drink is just too strong. He took it upon himself to get me another cocktail that was much more to my taste, free of charge. I was so shocked and appreciative.

Also received a small birthday cupcake with a candle which was extremely cute.

Loved every bit of Bennelong and I can't wait to go back!

An underwhelming experience. The highlights were the outstanding sashimi scallops and truffled mash.low lights too many to mention including trying to get a glass of water.such a disappointment experience.

Don't have a theatre event after dinning in or you'll feel rushed. So stay and enjoy your night at the restaurant

Lovely restaurant with one of the best views in Sydney! Attentive service and tasty food. Definitely worth for a special occasion.
