Bengong Metro

Pastries not tasty or worth the price.
Matcha mochi ball was dry, tasteless and small ($2). The taro tart is just a normal tart with purple dusting on top. The tart itself had overcooked egg custard though the side of the pastry was flaky ($3).

New bakery shop in the underground mall. I loved their mochi balls as the texture is chewy and eggy. However the price of the pastries and cakes are a bit expensive compared to other places. They also have gelato with tea flavours. Cards surcharges applied.

The black hair tall guy there was very impatient. He looks tired and unhappy even though it was only 1pm and only two customers in the store.

Quite expensive for what it is but there are unique flavour combinations in their bakery! I tried the Purple Rice Taro Mochi bread, as it’s everything I love in one! There was a good amount of sticky rice, could do with a bit more taro and mochi. If you’re looking for something different in a bakery, not your usual Bread Top or 85 degrees stuff, Bengong’s the place to try!

I went there for the fresh coconut ice-cream after someone had shared a reel in their insta.
Their presentation is just a plus. The ice-cream is flavoursome and creamy, and the size of the serve is really generous. If you love coconut and you are not already queuing up at Bengong Metro at Townhall, you are missing out foodventurers!

Soz but the mochi ball thing was not it for 2 bucks a pop if I remember correctly cuz like if anyone remembers the cloud bread trend on social media a few years back, I’ve never tried it but I’d imagine it tastes like what this tasted like - eggy cardboardy and airy lol where is the matcha idk I’m sure the other products are much better oops

I only tried their Coffee, it was a little small, but the coffee was made correctly and is satisfactory.

Tried the grape slushy trending drink, if u love all things grape, you would also love this one, remember to decide if u want icecream in your drinks or not, it's not for everyone, but I personally loved it.

However, instead of swirling the icecream into my drink, I prefer eating it at the top with a spoon.: >

It's a new store and they have some new items that other stores don't have. It is very attractive. The store is not a big space and the staff is very busy and hard working every day. The service of the staff is very good, whether it's drinks, cakes or ice creams and bread I think it's very good！

You have to wait for a long time to pay and the cashier didn't know who is the first, the customer behind can pay first. It's quite slow and chaos in the small shop.

Regarding the ice cream rating, I tried four types of ice cream. In addition to matcha, I also tasted the flavor. The others, such as earl gray, white peach, and brown rice, were full of sweetness. I can only say that the Japanese ice cream seller across the street is too strong.

The ice cream flavours are so unique, lychee coconut and grape are my favourites. Highly recommend.

Beautiful new shoop from Bengong team. You get your usual drinks and breads, and now they also have ice cream!
