Bengong Aqua - St Leonards reviews
27It's ok. Nice range of teas and sweet treats. Quite pricey and seemed about average quality for me. Staff never really seem to be engaging or overly friendly which is disappointing. Not bad, but there's better options around - especially at this price point.
I guess this place likes closing way before it’s posted closing time. Lady that was working closed the doors on us while we were clearly looking at the menu. I knocked on the door and she side eyed me and literally just ignored us.
Teas are desserts are alright here. It’s a shame that their customer service here is the worst I’ve seen in years.
Especially the lady on 2022-12-19 4pm who served us, she’s rude and unwelcoming. I’d really hope the shop will work on their customer service.
Store was closed on a Monday at 4: 50pm (well within the posted business hours) with no explanation or notice. Please explain. Came all the way from Bumpkinville only to be disappointed.

The strawberry lychee cup is a big let down.
I ordered a latte but unfortunately did not receive it so I can’t say how their coffee is. The milk tea is nice and refreshing and the mango mousse bear was also good.
Came here to buy the ovaltine drinks only to be told that they’re not available: (I came around midday on Saturday.
I ended up buying the crème brûlée milk tea. It is blended so the milk tea tasted more like a slushie. You can’t choose the sugar level with this drink.
I still want to try the ovaltine drinks though.
Karen and Kay are great baristas. Thank you for staying open and making the effort to come to work all throughout the pandemic. Great work! Thank you for the bubble tea recommendation when I struggle to choose. Friendly store and great service.
Ordered a pork floss taro box and an ice chai latte with pearl, the drink just so tasteless …. The box is ok, although smaller than I thought how a $12 dessert will be. Ordered an chesscake from them once, that was good.
Been going to this place since it first opened. During opening week the staff was so friendly and nice, and ever since it’s been going down hills. The staff here are SO rude and don’t even look at you or talk to you. I can place an order without them even muttering a single word to me. Obviously these people should not be in customer service, get a round of new people please.
Venue was nice enough but the almond croissant I paid $5 for was chewy and squeaky when I tried to bite it. Probably from the day before hand
Do NOT order milk tea with egg pudding…
Pudding tasted powder-ish, pearl is half cooked with a hard centre, taro ball is over cooked with no texture…
Overall the drink made me want to throw up
Sadly this place is now very inconsistent compared to when they first opened, the last 3 times I have ordered a pearl milk tea and the Boba where hard and under cooked
They have a habit of selling many days OLD desserts. Please check before buying. The desserts I bought, the cake was soggy and another dessert there was water seeping along the sides. They were not fresh, anyone would be able to tell once they put it in thier mouth. Disappointing.
Went there on Friday - the girls working there weren’t friendly at all. Their customer service sucked and weren’t helpful. I was going to buy some bread but when I got to the counter it came up as another type of bread, so obviously they’d placed it under the wrong heading. When I asked what it was at the counter she looked at me like I was stupid even though they put obviously put it the wrong place. The girls there were more interested in standing at the counter talking to each other and looking at their phones than helping. It’s a shame cause I would’ve still bought the bread and some drinks if she was nicer and more helpful. Very rude staff.
Ordered cake for my wife birthday last week to pick up stated that I will be picking up at 5: 30pm.
From there website, it shows shop closes at 8pm and no mention of change of shop hours due to Covid.
My meeting got overrun and I arrived the shop at 6: 05pm. The shop was closed and it has a paper sticks on the door saying shop closes at 6pm.
Yes, i should have called but i already stated that i am going to pick up the cake at 5: 30pm and why no one calls me from the shop if they are going to close at 6pm?
Birthday without a birthday cake!
I’ve always been a regular to this franchise and when they first opened in the area I was really excited and bought a lot of tea and dessert from there regularly. Even during COVID I made sure to support this local business but the service from the 2 ladies in particular was absolutely shocking. It’s not the first time I experienced it so I felt compelled to write this. The 2 ladies working there were blunt, made mistakes with the orders and never apologised. For instance, I ordered a warm milk tea but they gave me one full of ice…when I asked them to at least take out the ice they were just rude and dismissive. When you ask them nicely to heat up the croissant they are just as annoyed. If you continue to treat your customers like this I don’t think anyone will be returning.
It was just a random visit. Wanted to buy a cake for my friend’s b’day. I saw these little cute cups with different flavours. I changed my mind and grabbed 2 flavours- strawberry lychee cup and strawberry matcha cup. It was light and not to heavy unlike a cake. Would try different flavours next time
Fantastic coffee, the combination of a Slayer and amazing barista make for an addictive brew. Beautiful interior and treats, definitely recommend.
Best bubble tea I’ve had! The fruit teas include fresh fruit which you can eat with a fork afterwards. Super friendly staff and an amazing menu
I have tried a few types of bread and all of them were so delicious, especially the salted egg with pork floss ones.
The store is well-decorated and I love the vibes here although it’s small. Service is quick as I never have to wait too long
Will need to try bubble tea in the future
