Bell's Milk Bar reviews
47A few old things there suiting the business theme. Good Mike shakes, really no other reason to go there.
Awesome Milkbar, 50s vibe with a jukebox. Tasty waffles & superb thick shakes (cherry ripe) many varieties, the staff are so polite & a great museum out back. The reviews on this place are correct, you've gotta check it out if you're in Broken Hill.
It's a lovely picturesque place. The muffins are very tasty and the chocolate shake amazing
This is one of the best retail outlets in Broken Hill the step back in time in their little museum is wonderful I wish more small businesses would take this much pride in providing a true experience not just taking the tourist dollar. Proud to say its a business I often used as a kid and its still delivering great service us former locals head straight to Bells because they maintain our fond memories
Great place to view the history of milk bars from the early years. Authentic. Music included. Service is great.
Very cute place with 50s furniture and a museum house. They also cater for lactose and gluten intolerance.
A staple of Broken Hill, and a must visit.
Been around for generations and they haven't forgotten their roots, with 50s themed decor, sensational shakes and the museum out the back is a delightful novelty.
We enjoyed a traditional vanilla milkshake and a chocolate thick-shake. Generous serves, creamy and what you expect from both types of shakes. Lovely staff, so many flavours to choose from. Well priced, easy to find. Enjoy
A cool little retro milk bar serving lots of different milkshake recipes, ice creams and sweets. American diner themed with seating both indoors and out. Very popular and very busy in the area, and there's a great park across the road which is great for taking the shakes or ice creams. Staff were great too, and the ice creams we had were delicious.
Cool little milk bar, worth going there just to step back in time.coffee average, and they clearly don't know what a skinny iced latte is
One of the oldest places famous for its milkshakes. Unique combinations never heard before … also has cafe which serves brekky & lunch. You can also bring home your most loved flavours. It does preserve a lot of history about Bell’s milk bar in form of its museum and all items on display. A must visit and worth a try on your visit to broken hill… the staff were really friendly.
Had been on my list for years. So pleased to finally check it out. Great old fashioned milkshake, amazing service. The lady working was warm, friendly and very welcoming. If you find yourself in Broken Hill step back in time at this genuine and fabulous 50's icon.
A great place to try a cold and yummy drink when you stay in Broken hill where you can get familiar with the history of the shop. Green lemon spider is highly recommended
No comment for the food as not a fan of milkshakes but the museum in the back brought me back to the 50s. A must visit place in Broken Hill.
This venue is Australia’s longest running milk bar with a great selection of thickshake, milkshakes, spiders, sundaes, waffles, toasties and mall. Love the fitout of the venue and the Amazing thickshake
A must see if in broken hill the best milkshakes and food in a true nostalgic setting of a 50's milk bar, like back to the future, fantastic
Best place for old fashioned thick shakes. They actually make your cheek bones sore from sucking.
Fantastic retro re-experience while tasting delicious milkshakes with boutique local flavours - greatest choice ever!
Wouldn't bother. Website states gluten free available. Told by uninterested young lady behind the counter they dont have GF food since covid. Lack lastre coffee that wasnt even hot. No stars would be more like it
