Belles Hot Chicken

Coming to Belles on the weekend is a bit of a treat because that's the only time they do waffles and chicken. Every time I come here, it's been cooked to perfection and this time was no different besides the waffles which were a bit rushed and not crispy on the outside. However, the chicken was perfect.

The service is also a surprise for a place that you would assume is just a takeaway with outdoor tables. I was greeted by a friendly waitress who escorted me to a table and was told I could order via the QR code on the table.

I ordered and realised that there was a tipping option which probably wasn't required for a casual eatery like this. I decided not to tip and which also triggers the a mute button on the waitress simply bringing the drinks and food without saying anything further. That's people for you these days.

I will come back for the food and the past waitresses have been very pleasant, even without tipping.

Albeit on the more expensive side of the costing column, Belles Southern Fried Chicken are some of the best in the city. You can customise the level of spice in the chicken to your desire, but I find the mild and Southern Fried the best. We had mac and cheese as the side and the coleslaw was also epic. Been to Belle’s locations a few time and have always been underwhelmed. Texture and flavor of the breading could be improved.

We had some issues with the phone ordering system, basically waited 50 minutes before any drinks or food arrived. I would have left if I hadn't already paid at the start. Not to mention they were clearly short staffed during peak hours. Food was OK but mainly cause I was hangry by that point.

Great food and great service just need some protective screen so seagulls don't rush for your food

When I asked for my chicken sandwich to be medium I was told that it would be medium to hot. Which is it? Medium or hot? When I said that their menu board has either southern, medium, hot, etc. I was told that’s only for chicken.my sandwich is chicken. A bit ridiculous.

Hate to say that all of my other times coming here have been good to great, and I have recommended this establishment to many, but not anymore.

Too many other options in Barangaroo to waste money at Belle’s

Disgusting food. Chips overloaded with paprika. Margarita is just a dash of lime on tons of ice. I've paid for a $6 Cardamom Lemonade, went to the bathroom to clean the ton of grease and the waitress decides to throw away $4 of my Lemonade remaining without asking the people on the table. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Their f'in hot is really hot, so come prepared! Chicken tenders were a bit dry so not very satisfying on the day I was there

Not bad, I would probably put a much higher review if I can have chilli! The chicken was fairly average to me, but everything else was pretty good and I had no issue with the service. Location is excellent as well. However, the other people with me (who are able to have chilli) said the chicken was fantastic.

Went there for lunch after work. Lovely staff and the online ordering system was very impressive.

Some of the best fried chicken I’ve had! I would have given 5 stars if they had made sure to have their chicken ‘n’ waffles available. I mean, they’ve been operating long enough to know that particular item is a bestseller. Hopefully next time I go back, they’ll have it!

I had always wanted to visit this place but somehow had always missed it. Finally went to this place yesterday, loved the food, loved the ambience, no doubt barangaroo is a lovable place itself, Food (Chicken wings medium spicy) was delicious, worth a try, Drinks as well. Special thanks to Maddie who greeted us very politely and made us feel comfortable at the place. Will of course visit again.

Has been on my list of go to's for a while but I don't regularly come to the city. Let's just say that it lived up to expectations and didn't fail to excite the tastebuds. We tried both the chicken and mushroom sandwiches with their home made lemonade. Everything tasted great and we will definitely be coming back in the not too distant future.

Possibly the best fried chicken burger going around! Crispy, spicy, everything you want & more! Sides are quite nice also!

Amazing service, our burger was cold and we only asked them to reheat it but they made a fresh one.
And taste is always consistent

The Southern chicken is actually alright, and the blue cheese sauce is good. But if you get any of their spicy choices then you'll receive a soggy, disappointing mess. There is better spicy chicken in Sydney, literally pick any other place at random.

Been here 3 times and it has been equally disappointing each time, so I won't be going back.

It is the second time I come here and get asked to order online while dinning in but, the next round of people get to order over the counter. In general I have been to Belles many times but to be honest staff are not welcoming at all. Anyway, I wonder why me and my family get singled out to order online but the "other" people order over the counter.

We ordered the butter maple chicken wings and it's pretty bland. There is no saltiness with the food. Another dish we got was the mushroom fries and it's also very bland. You also have to pay for sauces. Wait person who took our order is not friendly at all.

Its was more like a rub of spices on the top coat, some sort of fried chicken. Its meh. Lacked flavour however remains true on spice level.

Hot spicy fried chicken! I personally like the southern (no spice) or mild spice (not as crispy due to the flavoring on the skin). Drumstick is huge so I usually get one and have some fries along with it. The meat is very tender and skin is nicely fried. Sauce costs $2 to order extra.

A delicious beer goes well with the fried comfort. I also enjoy the nice view of the barangarii waterfront.

During Covid, you have to wait to be seated. Then you can scan a QR code to order your food and pay online!
