I wouldn’t recommend these two brokers (David and Tina). They are both very dodgy and won’t actually find you the best deal. I initially chose them because they were very friendly and helpful but I regretted it. They asked me to pay a $500 deposit (you’ll lose the money if you don’t go with them). I paid the $500 since they explained to me that there won’t be anymore fees and the $500 deposit will be returned to me at the end of the process. To be honest, I didn’t do enough research and it was my first time using a broker to help me buy a house. I’m young and inexperienced but now I know better. I’ve learnt a lot from this horrible experience and I hope you don’t go through it as well. At the end of the process, they didn’t return the money to me and also asked me to pay them $2000 so that they can give me the best deal. I had to negotiate with them and I ended up paying $1500 instead. PLEASE BE EDUCATED and don’t go with brokers that ask you to pay them. Please talk to other more well known brokers. After settling with my house, I quickly found a new broker and things went well for me! My new broker did not ask for an upfront deposit/fee and did not ask for more money to get me a better deal. He also got me an amazing cash back deal that’s over $3000! You shouldn’t pay your broker any money because they are already getting heaps of commission from the bank that you apply with. Also, David and Tina will only find the deal that’s easier for them and provides them with a higher commission. They will appear like they consider your situation and want the best for you but really, they don’t and will take advantage of you where they can. It already happened to me so please do your research and speak to other brokers before making a decision! Take care and stay safe everyone:)
