Bay and Bush Cottages Jervis Bay

Beautiful place and a lot of care and thought into facilities set up. Great if you enjoy a calmer setting than a town centre and don't mind driving to those facilities and/or would like a retreat at the cottage/property itself. Many beautiful facilities on the property such a firepit area and other eating/reading spaces. Also in the reception building a fireplace on in winter and a bar and seating area. Lovely hosts and staff.

A tranquil, beautiful and very well-managed place to stay. The cottage was very clean. Lots of little additions like great body wash and good tea. We'll be back.

Best place we have ever stayed In Jervis Bay and we won’t be trying any others. Being immersed amongst nature while having the the bustling town just down the road made for a beautiful holiday.
The cottage was beautiful and made for a great place for a coffee on the balcony while watching the kangaroos or a bbq on sundown to finish off a day of lots of swimming!
Couldn’t recommend this place enough, even with the rain the last few days it had made for a great stay, everything we needed was at the cottage.

The experience in Bay and Bush Cottage was pleasant. The place is nice and well equipped, almost like you walk in, it has mostly all you need. We enjoyed the outdoor bbq session with the kangaroo dancing around, the welcoming jazz music and nice air con for the hot day. These are all welcoming.

However, there are several things that we wish for improvements:
1. As a professional who worked in 5 stars hospitality before, there is always a slight room for later check out when there is only one team of housekeeper. We have attempted to ask for 30min late check out as we had a late night engagement for dinner and might be coming back to the cottage late, hence we would appreciate to enjoy the last day of stay slightly longer so we have time to pack everything. But the reception team was too strict and not nice enough to give us a bit of room. We checked out early yesterday, with a super tired body for a long drive back to Sydney. And this part of the experience is not so appreciated.

2. When we booked, the Hyams Cottage was advertised for 4 people stay with 2 images of the bedrooms. And this was misleading as we thought there are 2 bedrooms in this cottage, and there is only one bedroom in reality and one of the guests had to sleep in the living room with no privacy. The house at night has constant reheat up fridge noise, making it quite difficult to sleep. And for us, this was a bit fault advertising. We did not expect 4 people can stay here meaning one to sleep on the couch and another one sleep on the corner of the living room with no privacy.

3. While we do appreciate the outdoor bbq, the bbq stove was very dirty and not clean for next guest to use. Although this cottage is well equiped, but there is not enough cleaning product to clean the stove, little to mention that is should be cleaned before guest staying.

Therefore, our experience with Bay and Bush is good, but there are indeed quite a lot of room for improvement. We paid a slightly more premium price to stay to enjoy and indulge ourselves for the holiday season. But the experience wasn't great for 100%. While the staff overall were friendly, but the reception was not nice enough to be slightly flexible and considered. Not sure if I would call this "money for value" experience.

Bay and Bush is a nice place to stay near Huskisson, Jarvis Bay. It's a stay cut out among the bushes. We stayed in the tents. Good clean, comfortable tents. They give you all you need, well set beds, warm, cosy, powerbank for charging your phone, lamps, water etc. Toilet and bathroom are common, but clean with hot water.
There is a fire place where we enjoyed campfire and a good shed that is a kitchen. Lots of kangaroos in the evening.
The host is very friendly and helpful.

Bay and Bush is an excellent place to stay. The staff are so nice, Venessa looked after us and made sure we had a pleasant stay.:)

We stayed for 5 nights in Husky Beach Cottage in a raining Crhistmas time. We loved our time there - Flo (the owner) and her staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with tips for the area. The cottage was clean, comfy, and very well equipped. We loved our private BBQ outside of our balcony. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the showers fortunately hot! Beds were comfy, even the bed sofa where pur friends slept.
The best thing about the cottages is their location in the bush - each morning and night we'd walk out and around and spot kangaroos. Each cottage is set apart from the others so they feel nicely private. And this just a short drive from Huskisson and the beach beaches. We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone

The stay here was the best glamping trip I've ever been too. Its a nice family business and I will recommend to come with family.

We had a 3 night stay in this Blenheim Cottage.
Lovely spot to unwind and cottage had everything we needed and more importantly a comfy bed.
You will not be disappointed and giving a 5stars thumbs up

A wonderful hideaway in the bush!

It feels remote, but at the same time is very close to nearby towns and villages and great beaches.

The owners were so flexible with our booking (multiple re-bookings due to fires and Covid) which we really appreciate.

The cottage was sparkling clean, cosy and comfortable.

We also had lovely furry, jumping visitors in the mornings hanging out around our cottage:)

My wife and I highly recommend 'Bay and Bush Cottages' to anyone visiting the South Coast. Everything from facilities to cleanliness to service to environment have been top notch, and it is only a short drive to the Huskisson restaurants.

One of the best places i have ever stayed at the room was so spacious and clean the grounds outside were beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend its the best place in the area for sure.

Bay and Bush Cottages is a great accommodation with special customer care. The location is amazing to rest. It’s calm and silent, surrounded by the bush with kangaroos by your windows in the morning. The room is spot clean, cool, tidy and cozy. Will definitely go back for more days.

Just went for seechange to see photographic exhibition in cafe on site. Great cafe, lovely staff, French cooking, first class. Visit for a meal or afternoon tea. The cakes are to die for. Really worth the visit, meal or not.
