The grass is little heavy on the running track, and the drainage is pretty poor, especially on the long jump pits. Competition regularly called off due water logged track even after light rain. On hot days if your lucky youll get the nice breeze which is a godsend. Well maintained children's play area, and lots of shade to sit and watch the onfield activities.

This is a great park for younger children as it has a gate and is fenced on the street side for safety. It does open up on the other side to a grassed area near the athletic track but is a great open area for more play such as kicking a ball or chasing each other. The swings, see-saw and play equipment are not too advanced for toddlers who can enjoy the easier features geared towards their age group. The ground is fake grass which is much safer and less dirty than bark chips. There is some shade and some sunnier areas as well as covered benches and seats for the adults.

A lot of restrictions in place at most part of this ground regarding the footwear one can have, and it is fenced. The playground for kids though is quite good.

Plenty of parking. 2 table chair sets, jogging track and kids playground available. Tennis court nearby. Nice view with fresh air. Wood theme (wood door entry etc.) Recommended:)

Good location for school sports being handy to local schools. Amenities are good as well. Next to tennis court. Plenty of on street parking and off street parking when activities are scheduled.

Currently undergoing espestos removal, so the oval is technically closed. Barton park even St the best of times has a poorly marked out track, with visible undulations in the ground. It is usually not too busy, but sometimes people out for a walk choose to take up the whole of lane one. There are bathrooms here, but you need a code to get in. There is a decent amount of street parking nearby. It is not accessible by public transport.
