Barters Busy Bee Cottage

I haven't purchased (yet!) from this place. However, its fabrics have stuck in my memory for a while, as they are unique in their aesthetic. There's lots of ornate foliage and floral patterns, esp of the Aussie flora and fauna variety. Most exciting are the interesting abstract patters in rich colours - the perfect backdrop for something like emboidery or fabric painting. I haven't seen fabrics like it elsewhere. Excited to make my first purchase soon.

Friendly staff, useful information and advice. Staff member gave myself a lesson and allowed me to try some different machines before making my purchase. Family ran business, made buying a sewing machine a enjoyable and memorable experience. Nice friendly environment and offered ongoing support if needed. Best store ever! They also run lessons in store.

This is a wonderful shop for knitters or for sewers
Beautiful wool, patterns, needles everthing you need. Materials for quilting, the latest sewing machines and overlockers and classes for everyone to learn how to use your new machines or to learn how to sew. I highly recommend a visit to the shop or to go online. I love my new sewing machine and overlocker.

Great little shop, small but everything you would want, including some knitting things. Owner has a vast wealth of knowledge in all things sewing.

I have been visiting this lady's business for years. She has a wealth of knowledge in all things sewing. She also has fabrics, notions and many hard to get parts for Janomd sewing machines. This place is s treasure trove for sewers.
