This place is great. Fabio has been styling my hair for my wedding and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Really friendly staff and I’ve never seen an unhappy customer when I’ve been there.

Love this salon.came all the way from melbourne to get my hair cut and Fabio did a great cut and style.the staff are so friendly and will be back when i visit Sydney in a few months

BEST EXPERIENCE!

Barney you have created such a beautiful space filled with amazing hairdressers. You could feel the love between the group and it made such a positive fun experience.
From the welcome, to my coffee, the slice of lemon in the water, massage chair to every person in the salon who stopped to smile, say hello, check if I needed anything to then congratulate Steph on what a fab job she had done with my hair.
Oh and Steph, wow! She is a true artist when it comes to colour and tailoring it to suit you, your complection and lifestyle. She took the time to listen and understand my situation and where I wanted to be.

Blown away! What a treat that was! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Came in as a hair model for Stephanie and walked out with an amazing haircut and also making an appointment for her to do my colour in a few weeks!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Andrew and he made me feel sooo welcome and at home.

Stephanie was so lovely and explaining in detail everything she was doing.

Today was my first experience at Barney Martin.

The salon is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
I had the wonderful Stephanie cut my hair and words can’t describe how much I love it.
Having curly hair and finding that right cut is challenging, however Stephanie created a beautiful cut that has blown me away.
I left the salon more than satisfied and would highly recommended visiting Barney Martin.

Today was my first time visiting Barney Martin hair salon. My overall experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The salon space itself is stunning, bright and airy, all the staff were so welcoming and attentive constantly checking in and offering beverages which was such a lovely touch. Stephanie did my hair and I absolutely love the colour and cut she did exactly what I asked for and she explained everything she did throughout! She’s a gem and will definitely be returning. I’ve been going to the salon for years and was gutted when I moved interstate that I’d have to find somewhere new. When returning to Sydney recently I went back and it was so nice to walk out a salon again feeling like they met the brief perfectly rather than just being ‘OK’ with the result. Other comments have mentioned cost, but you get what you pay for at BM and you wear your hair everyday so it should be an investment!

Great chic salon in surry hills. Highly professional and great customer service. Highly recommend Andrew. He is a master of cutting and goes above and beyond to make you feel special and valued. Highly recommended salon.

I was a regular customer however during my last visit, my hairdresser Millie, cut off half my fringe by accident and did a terrible job all around, nothing like my regular cut and not close to what I had asked for.

When I told the staff member that it was too short and was did not represent what I thought was a quality salon, or what I asked for, Millie disappeared and did not return. I contacted Barney directly and provided images. Barney is extremely rude and implied that I left the salon without paying, then asked me not to return to the salon.

To clarify, Andrew and Penny advised I didn’t have to pay, before I left the salon and I am still waiting for my hair to grow out so I can get it fixed, at a more professional hair salon.

I would recommend this salon if you would like to have your hair ruined, and then be a used by their staff afterwards.

I had my 1st experience with them this week and would definitely recommend.
Everyone was friendly and the place is beautiful. The hairdresser Helen took care of my hair and gave me an amazing haircut that gave my hair life haha shiny and healthy with style. I am very happy with the final result!

Barney Martin hair booked me straight back in at an early available time and took care of all the issues I expressed.
