Bankstown Sports Club reviews
56Been here multiple times to both the Brewhouse downstairs and Greenfield Station Bistro. Both of these places are pretty darn good in terms of service, food and feel. Prices are not massively cheap. However, what you get is most definitely worth the price. Atmosphere around these venues is also good with the water features. Highly recommend this place no matter what the occasion
We arrived to the lady banks roof top bar for a drink (which was out first for the evening) but found the pina coladas there to be overly sweet. Without finishing even half the drink we, including my friend Marlene decided to head down stairs and try to get a drink there. After the check-in process was complete, the guy at check-in told my friend Marlene was drunk because she was wobbling. Even after Marlene telling him and the manager that she had a knee injury and was not drunk, she was refused entry. It really put a dampner on our night. If management would like our reciepts from lady banks to confirm, then please touch base.
︎Congratulations to the owner/Ceo/Directors of the club= luvd the upgrades & the variety if mixed cultural cuisine & the invitingness sie to the upgrades.
Must say =Lady banks is phenominal & have already an upcoming event there soon =Well done guys!
Visiting from another state, we were with members of the club but we didn't have photo idea they wouldn't let us in.
It's the first time there, and having walked around the place, it's much larger than what it appears. There are a fair few restaurants inside, and at some point, it has an almost inspiration of Vegas (of you've ever been). Which is nothing like it, but I give it 10 points for a really good effort. There are many choices and you could easily spend a bit of time in there, not to mention the many TVs to watch sports and hang out. So definitely a cool place for a local spot that is.
My partner and I are regulars at Bankstown Sports and love dining at Al Aseel. We cannot fault Al Aseel and it’s amazing staff - it’s the reason we keep coming back to Bankstown Sports.
Unfortunately, during our time in the brewhouse last weekend we were racially targeted by a ‘security guard’ named Charbel who approached our small group and noted that we were approaching the point of intoxication. We were not at a point of intoxication, rather, just enjoying ourselves laughing and socialising as you do when out and having a good time. Meanwhile, there were 20 other blokes laughing, stumbling, and carrying on - but Charbel did not approach them. Charbel then proceeded to tell us that the restaurant we dined at had made a complaint and when questioned, took his words back.
When Charbel approached us, he turned his body camera off. How would he explain to his boss that he had racially targeted a group of people? Probably didn’t want to deal with the aftermath so turned off his camera and blamed it on “intoxication”… Not only was this racially targeted and unfair, but it was extremely poor practice. On our nights at Bankstown Sports we spend over $2000 on two people not to mention the $1000’s are fed into the pokies. Further to this, the staff at the atrium bar appeared confused why we were being kicked out as even they know us well and know that we enjoy having some drinks and can handle our liquor.
For anyone wanting to go - god forbid you stumble upon CHARBEL the ‘security guard or person with great authority lol’ … do not smile or laugh, it’s forbidden. Particularly if you are a person of colour.
I like this club very much which is full of energy everywhere. Though it is closed during the lockdown I still get email updates from time to time. The staff has always been nice and friendly. I highly recommend this club.
Lacks atmosphere, the worst tap beer I have had in a long long time, food was ok, but I think this place is all about the pokies.
I love this place parking is great food is good so many things to see great place for kids its great just for coffee or a meal or stay overnight its just great
They cancelled the members draw without having the common decency to make an announcement, treating us like mugs. I also did not get my 5 extra entries by using the app and spending 15 dollars so the system is unreliable and I dont trust wasting my Thursday nights here with service like this. I am giving up this club.
I booked to have dinner with my family members tonight. End up with I had been treated unfairly by duty manager Kate and Adam tonight. Someone took my parking spot inside the carpark and refuse to move out. Duty manager Kate & Adam let the guy who steel my parking spot into the club.and refuse me to into the club. They claimed because my attitude.
So Bankstown sports club managers make decision by attitude not by the principle or Maybe I am Asian!
Always a pleasure to visit this club with a great variety of food options and kids entertainment
Like another little world inside. Plenty of affordable restaurant options with cuisines from all over the world to suit everyone. Number of great bars all over. The forest in the centre is a great decoration and adds to the atmosphere. It really feels like you're sitting in a rainforest enjoying a refreshing drink. Tons of gaming machines if that's what you enjoy. The have their own brew of beer down in the brewhouse. Just one of the best all round clubs in Sydney. Italian, Lebanese, buffet, Chinese, churros, ice cream, Cafes. Spent lots of time there behind the scenes and I've probably been everywhere in the club, public and staff only areas. Keg room is one of the biggest I've been in. Professionally built and maintained. Great staff, very helpful and friendly.
Great for a big get together. A bit noisy in the outside area. Food was good pub grub. Big servings and moderate price.
Every staff member I asked a question, replied "yes how can I help you" they new what I asked very good staff
The only place I stay at, when in Sydney
Huge variety of places under the same roof to visit for a meal, so no driving
Went to monkey mania inside bankstown sports club.
I booked my daughters 6th birthday party for 1pm at this franchise "bankstown". The kids did not get to go into the party room until 1.30pm! A staff member came into the party room and informed the "host" that the room needed to be cleared out for the 2pm booking! Adult food platters did not come out until 1.45pm with no serving utensils or plates. No water was available in jugs and water bottles were sold out which is against the law to have no water available. The party host did not engage with the kids and we had to serve the cake, get dishes, cups. We might as well of bloddy hosted the damn thing. This was the worst experience for a party we have ever held or been too. A huge waste of money and I will be and all who attended be putting this all over social media.
The message I get from this club is that they are all about image and poker machines. I have asked numerous times to please change the doors in the old car park as it is very difficult to wheel a wheelchair through those doors. The last conversation I had was with Mark Condi and he said we are in talks to replace them. It isn't just about wheelchairs it's people with prams and elderly people who cannot push those doors. The club is currently changing the wall on Green field Pd so you can see through the club from the road. Also you have made space to put more machines in the old piano bar and extended the club next to it for MORE machines. It's two flipping doors is all that needs changing to make it more accessible.
I've been a memeber for over 5 years, never set foot in the gaming area, but very pleased with the atmosphere here. It's a nice feeling not thinking about the negative side of poentially bein ghooked into the gambling habits as there are plenty of other things to do and to be entertained, just browsing, relaxing with some cocktails, being entertained with live entertainment or dining with a small group for that special occasion. Possibly the best Bankstown can offer.
The Bankstown Sports Club is a members and guests only facilty accommodating a range of restaurants and activities. The conference facilities are high quality and a good location for any small to mid scale event. Tip for new players, be sure to bring a government issued ID with you.
