If you are wanting accommodation where you can relax and watch a movie. Don't choose this accommodation. $340 a night and the internet wasn't connected.a simple reset of the modem would have probably done the trick
so we ring and message the property manager in the book as they asked us to do if we needed assistance but no response. No care factor. Very disappointed because it wasn't even the internet not being connected that was disappointing it was the absolute lack of care and no acknowledgement that was the let down.

We were very confused checking in to the Luxury Accommodation because the website stated ‘treat yourself to a touch of luxury at Bangalow Guesthouse’, but we arrived to zero car spaces available for the designated guest car parking spots, a group of ladies sitting on the verandah loudly celebrating a birthday afternoon with babies in a stroller and two roaming dogs trotting around the garden and veranda. The loud noise of the ladies gathering impacted our relaxing afternoon and made us uncomfortable to enjoy the amenities. We discovered later that the group weren’t even paying guests and left the premises late in the afternoon. The website clearly states: PETS are not permitted on the grounds of the property and CHILDREN - we endeavour to provide a romantic and relaxed environment for our guests to enjoy Bangalow. We therefore do not cater for children and babies. We are still waiting to hear back from the manager/owner. To top it off, we were unable to connect to the Wi-Fi - access unavailable. We left a message about the Wi-Fi and no one contacted us.

Beautiful place. Guest house was very luxurious. Only downside, the room we had was near the entry and not really a room you could hang out in as it was quite dark during the day with no natural light and as it was old it was quite cool. We used the veranda but was a shared space so probably not what we were expecting. The cabins were unavailable when we booked.

Completely hopeless! Unable to check in at 3.30 pm on a Friday and nobody answering the telephone or email. They ruined my weekend. I would give them zero stars! And so quick to take the money!

Great service by the staff, originally booked a room that had non operative air con of which I was not informed of, however when speaking to staff about the issue they were very apologetic. The cleaner organised the best room in the place and upgraded me to it free of charge. Very happy with my experience. Otherwise, rooms are very modern, well looked after and clean.

Booked direct with property to overnight for a business meeting. Unfortunately had to cancel within 3 hours of booking due to COVID. No refund offered.come again within 3 months or lose your $. Unlikely to go so I guess $385 down the tube. SIgn of the times, recommend using a reputable booking agent rather than booking direct with a desperate property.

Beautiful little cottages tucked in Bangalow, fluffy towels, king sz beds and a grassy area for my sip and paint activity with my daughter. Walking distance to town. Butcher and Baker was divine.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bangalow Guesthouse. We stayed in one of the small cottages which were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Guests have access to the main house which was lovely. We were able to cook dinner and access the common areas. The rooms were cleaned daily and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests who were staying. We will definitely stay again:)

Beautiful, peaceful accommodation in the heart of Bangalow. We stayed in one of the main house suites and had an amazing time. Short walk to the main street of Bangalow, but still feel like you're out in the country. Will be back!

Be very careful booking this property as they will ask for full payment up front. Whilst we are in COVID times you will not get your money back and they will not respond to any correspondence! We could not use our 2 night stay as COVID hit for a wedding we were meant to attend in March. Not only is it distressing in these times, the property will not respond to you and you will be left not being given any direction on your wasted money. Byron has been booming so it is not like they are suffering, unlike most people who can not travel and are in hard times. Just adds to the stress. Most of the hospitality industry are working with their communities not against them to make times tough.

Booked 1 night through Expedia and confirmed that payment would be processed on arrival. Hotel attempted to take payment before we even arrived and did not go through. Without any notice they cancelled our booking and now the hotel requires us to stay 2 nights minimum. Terrible service.

Great place. Very cozy rooms and common areas. Balcony is great for morning coffee in the sun, although some noise from the nearby road

The experience at the Bangalow Guest House was average. We stayed in the Dr Stewart Room, only one with claw foot bath. We stayed for 3 nights. We would not recommend or stay again. We would look for a better place where you could actually get a good night's sleep.

Like other reviews the negatives were:
1. The place feels a bit hollow with no check in staff or really anyone welcoming you.
2. The rooms and house smell of mildew/ rising damp. It is overpowering and kept my partner awake, as well as your clothes end up damp in the morning when you put them on. We put the air-conditioner on dry setting all night which is the best tip we can provide.
3. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. You tend to roll into the middle of it, and end up on a sloping angle head to foot. So between that and the noise from other rooms- neither of us got a good sleep for 3 nights which has a big impact on the 'holiday'.
4. The walls are very, very think and no effort has been made to provide any sound proofing. We could hear every single word and sound of our neighbouring room.
5. The house is on the main highway, so again the traffic noise is too loud to have an afternoon nap or really relax. And same for the evening
The positives:
1. The claw foot bath is a real feature and enjoyable.
2. The house is conveniently located to the shops at Bangalow, 5 min walk. We ate at Town, The Italian Diner which were average.
3. It is quieter overall than staying in Byron Bay.
4. The grounds are quite pretty.
5. The verandahs e beautiful to relax and read a book.

Best local restaurant: Harvest at Newberry. And for a long drive - Paper Daisy (food divine)
