Bang Tang Potts Point reviews
44One of my favorite places to eat in Sydney. Delicious food, great value for money, lovely staff
Good vibe, friendly staff and I would recomend Chicken satay, Tom-Yum and you can't forget order Tuna bomb It very good taste! You won't disappoint!
What a fantastic experience, lovely staff. Beautiful atmosphere so pretty. We had Cigar Roll yum, crunchy soft shell crab delicious. They were just our starters. Then we had stir fried rice noddles, so good and to finish, Satay Tune. Wow we will back, for sure.
Five stars a out five
We had the banquet and the food was amazing.so many different flavours. The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to look after us. Will definitely be going back.
This is a gem in Potts Point area! Their eggplant and shrimp is a must try! The most succulent shrimp I have ever tried, just wow! They got an asian menu where everything we ordered was so good! The waiter is so nice too. Price is very reasonable, like half of the price compared to the Circular Qay area.
Just don’t go. The food wasn’t great. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food and the chicken was dry and tasted of only turmeric.
The service was all over the place. I promptly went to McDonald’s to get over the ordeal
Best food I've eaten in Australia yet and this is day 21. Amazing food, modest prices, nice atmosphere and terrific, friendly service. Do not miss this spot.
There food is just delicious. We tried takeaway twice and both times it was amazing. The thin rice noodle is the best we have ever tasted.
Portions are too small for what you pay.
Don’t call a 300ml glass of beer a schooner. It’s 425ml so either change the glass or say it as it is.
Outstanding, friendly & inviting service.
Exceptional, flavoursome cuisine.
Intimate, relaxed atmosphere.
One of the best “off the main streets” eating spots in Potts
Freshest best in Sydney - well worth going into the side street out of commercial area. Soooo good!
3 mains, 2 rice and 1 tea cost us nearly $100.however the taste was so good! We really like the satay sauce! Service was pretty good!
Wonderful restaurant. Nice and polite staff. Fast service. Good cocktails. Relaxing atmosphere. Clean and open kitchen. The food is amazing! Chef Nat is very talented. The food is absolutely wonderful: a mix of flavors, spices, herbs and vegetables… Chef Nat gives every dish a special touch. Real umami! Perfect restaurant for foodies! Highly recommend. Perfect quality at a reasonable price! A must go!
Ang tang
We’ve been to Bang Tang before in its previous locations, and enjoyed it thoroughly, so of course we were happy to return. They’ve reopened in Orwell street, around the corner from it's old location in Potts Point. The restaurant has a nice contemporary fit out, with indoor and outdoor seating. The bright pink lighting is still a feature. We enjoyed the vibe of the new space, it had a great atmosphere and the staff were attentive.
The modern Asian inspired restaurant has delicious food that is fresh and featuring flavours from Thailand, Japan, Burma and Vietnam. The food is great and sure to leave your tastebuds singing.
We shared a number of tasty starters and fabulous mains. To start, the cigars are a delicious starter, a spring roll filled with glass noodles and packed full of flavour, the lemongrass is noticeable and works very well.
The house made steamed dumplings - Pork And Prawn Mousse with Japanese Scallop in House Chili Oil were very enjoyable and the parcels were a nice light dish to start.
The rice paper rolls are super fresh, packed tightly with chicken carrot, herbs and served with a peanut dipping sauce. A really nice healthy option.
The braised pork belly is a must order, it is roasted then slow cooked for four hours. The braising liquid is insanely good, with beautiful soy umami flavours, subtle star anise and spice. The fat on the pork is nicely rendered, it is gelatinous and silky. Add the roasted garlic and pepper sauce to this dish, this sauce enhances the pork to wow level.
Another delicious and generously portioned dish was the Hokkien noodles with prawns and house made chilli jam and shaved salty yolk, another cracker with a bit of spice and good balance of flavour.
“Trout Out” is a lovely fresh option, the Snowy Mountains smoke trout was delectable. With organic pecan wood, tamarind dressing, roasted rice, thin rice noodle, crushed peanut, fennel, kaffir lime, viet-mint & chilli. We had this with Jasmine rice.
The food here is lovely, the ambience is fun, and you’ll most certainly enjoy a delicious meal. Be sure to check it out
Dined here with a friend for dinner. A cool eatery with a modern twist on a Thai menu. The service is top notch and loved the vibes here.
We shared a bunch of dishes and started with Cigar Roll which were deliciously fried spring rolls filled with a lovely chicken mixture. Next were the House Made Steamed Dumpling which were steamed squares (more ravioli shaped than your usual dumplings) with a filling of pork and prawn mousse as well as chunks of scallops. It had a chilli kick to it due to the chilli oil in it. To round off the starters we had the Chicken Rolling Magic. Fresh rice paper rolls with chicken and herbs. A lighter dish full of freshness and flavour. It came with a delicious peanut dipping sauce.
For me the best dish was the 4-Hour Slow Cooked Pork Belly. It was tender pork with a wonderfully tasty soy sauce. Served with bok choi, it was elevated again with another home made sauce on the side. The Stir Fried Hokkien Noodle were packed full of flavour and a chilli punch. It had prawns, chilli jam, and grated salted yolk. The lighter option of the mains was the Trout Out. Flaky pieces of organically smoked trout in a fresh salad of accentuated by tamarind, fennel, mint, peanut, and lime.
Great place to enjoy a modern take on Thai food with lots of freshness and great flavours to entice your taste buds.
We really enjoyed the food, service, and killer drinks! The silky silky was like nothing I have had before and the tune bombs - so very good. Yum!
The staff was patient as I wasn’t sure what to order. The food came out quickly and was quite reasonably priced. Lovely area and decorated nicely.
Very yummy and really good service.we are from Melbourne and we were looking for a nice place for dinner on a Saturday is a good price for the excellent quality of food. The place is also very stylish and quite pleasant.
We had the tofu paper rolls, dumplings, Waugh curry and the pork belly all of the dishes we had were really good 100% recommended
Asian fusion cuisine, Thai inspired. Just reopened in a nearby location as the customer base is expanding so they needed a bigger place.
The food is really good, top in the area. Highly recommended!
This food makes me excited to be alive! They make the most unique and delicious (and gluten free!) noodles you ever seen. The flavors they create are out of this world! They also have courteous waitstaff and a good selection of beer and wine. This food makes life worth living!
